EDIT: How are the names in the "Players" list determined? I saw Artosis' name there but there doesn't seem to be any replays of him. Just wondering.

I was wondering the same thing, pretty sure it works by cookies because when I click "Your Replays" in a different browser, nothing comes up. I suppose you could always do a search to find your replays.

Also great with the twitter stuff, hope some good players start contributing on your new site Edit: Haha, seems like other IT guys had the same questions, it's probably cookies ^^ IP makes no sense?

After testing it the hype ended. None of my tested browsers (Opera, IE8 and Firefox) supports that kind of drop. Also the search and filter functionality of other site are way better.

For example , it also doesn't work on my Opera 10.6 but it probably works on Opera 11 ( not tested tho ) , it also doesn't work on IE8 but probably does on IE9 etc. ( works on FF 3.6 btw )

But when I drag a replay the drop message don't show up and on drop I get the download message (for the file i just dropped) I'm at work so i just downloaded one and droped it. I try it at home with my one reps... Firefox is 3.5 and is update itself. Thanks for the infos doods! Edit: FF3.6 works. BUT When i uploaded it. And i want to move or delete the replay from MY pc, i get a message says, that Firefox is using this file and i can't delete it. WTF? Just found a bug: When I select a player and click on the "X public games found" it does not show the replays from the player. Instead the last replay will be shown. However, the drp functionality is a very nice idea. Thanks for your work!

I'm afraid bigger replay sites will steal the drag&drop idea before you improve your sites look&feel. And if even one other big replay site does that , you're pretty much done. My 2 cents... Hear hear, man. Unfortunately I'm not a designer. Amongst other things, the background is way too plain, some kind of a texture would be nice. I really dig SC2Replayed, but their site just is filled with adds, requires a registration and, to me, feels quite slow. I didn't enjoy the experience, so I feel drop.sc differentiates in other ways too. ReplayFU is also nice, but it was too simple for me. To which other sites are you referring to? PS. ScCalendar looks really cool! You should definitely think about making a web interface for the aggregator! Could there be any chance of integrating drop.sc into it somehow? Perhaps display results from the Twitter feed? On March 10 2011 17:19 sc2lime wrote: I love this! Just adjust the way the homepage replays are displayed (so much wasted space per each replay display) and perhaps some other UI adjustments, it would be perfect. I love the drag and drop feature. Could you check the "Your replays" section.. is that kind of display style more of your liking? Someone has uploaded a private replay that has Artosis in it playing. Add a decent Background, use different colours etc. (Keep it simple, though!) Man, I agree wholeheartedly. Somehow all of my designs turn out that way. I'll try to think ways to make it better. If you or you know a graphics/UX designer that would like to contribute, let me know! However, to drop.sc's defense, I must mention that the FAQ section states the following: "Which browsers are supported? Tested with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7/8. Mac OS X and Windows are both supported. Please note that Internet Explorer does not support drag & drop or uploading multiple replays at once." Agree on the search and filtering options, those need some work. I would need more information in order to try to solve it. I'm going to try to reproduce this when I get to home. Confirmed bug.. thanks man! I just released a fix, should work now.

Ah ok, the reason I'm asking is cause if you clear your cache, then obviously, you lose track of your replays. I like the "No Registration" concept and understand what you were going for (quick and easy replay sharing) but I think adding an option to create an account to better manage your replays for the "hardcore" people is a good idea, and for the "softcore" people, they still have the option for a quick upload. Do you have any plans to include accounts?
