Amen. Now I can unmute Code A. Artosis and Tasteless duo works mainly because Artosis keeps the discussion going while tasteless acts a fool and it's pretty entertaining. With Kelly, I think she threw the dynamic off and it was most apparent when she was with the new guy. It felt a little too quiet and i felt like they were missing a lot of the action.

Striving for perfection and trying to achieve dreams is one of the defining characteristics of being human, why stop just "because it's e-sports"? Personally I want e-sports to keep getting bigger and better, not rest on its laurels and coast from now on. Yes lets all eat raw snakes for dinner. Would you like your significant other to comments on your Bed Abilities similar to what the 'a-hole percentage' of the community commented about Kelly's casting abilities? But hey she/he is just striving for perfection. Nothing is wrong with wanting perfection. It's the way you strive for it that makes the difference. Making insulting comments like what I've seen here is not wanting perfection. It's just childish.

It's the simplest one that explains everything I know about the situation (is consistent with the statements from GOM and Kelly I've read). Yeah, it seems as if Chill has a good understanding of evil company minds, almost as if he was an evil overlord.... But seriously, of course they don't just give a year contract to people. The only one I could imagine is Tasteless, but he's been working with GOM during BW too. She did a reasonable job in my opinion and hopefully she continues casting and improving, heck she might just show up as a replacement caster for when Tasteless or Artosis leave fro blizzcon (Or when Artosis makes the NASL finals) and they don't want to give the new Code A casters too much work. Who knows. But seriously Chill, are you an -snipe-

Ive grown up bilingual (dutch and norwegian) and have no accent in either of these languages because of that. I have dutch friends in norway who have thick accents, as well as my mother and my father (father with a thick dutch accent when he speaks norwegian, and mother vice versa). Theyve spoken "eachothers language" for 15yrs+ and still there is an accent... You cannot unlearn an accent just like that... For example: Arnold Schwarzenegger has a thick austrian accent - and yet hes played in movies and lived in the US for years. Either way, her english was perfectly understandable, and english is my 3rd language - seeing canadians and americans complain that they can't understand her says more about your non-experience dealing with non-americans/canadians than her "bad english".

I have talked English on skype etc. numerous times and needed to fully concentrate to understand what she was saying and it was really hindering the watching experience. The reason doesn't really matter anyway, aslong as a large enough portion(the size being debatable) of the viewers have issues understanding her, it is definitely not a positive thing and pushes people away which other vice might've been sucked in(it gets more complicated when other region might have easier time understanding her, making that region show more interest). Reason: A new viewer is very unlikely to keep watching if the commentator is hard to understand. I've said it in other kelly threads, nothing personal, hope she had a great time and wish her the best. Hope someone else gets picked for the job though.

Steve Irwin's accent sounded sort of english to me and it was very easy to understand him. Kelly's accent on the other hand is very thick, hard to understand.

I don't understand your point. However, if he were a sports caster he would have been immensely less likely to get hired because he had one. But it isn't as hard on the ears or as annoying, and that's all that matters. How annoying the accent is. If her accent was pleasant on the ears, it wouldn't be an issue (although like I said, personally I had a problem with her game knowledge, just as I'm not fond of Tasteless' game knowledge comments either, I believe I have better gamesense/knowledge than both of them).

What I'll remember most from the KellyMilkies saga is not Kelly herself, but the enormous amount of hate and xenophobia that it produced in a community I normally respect.

Nevar forget. GOM is just doing what was planned all along. We didn't cause anything. Yet. Besides, if you step into the public eye you had better be prepared to take shit, however accurate or irrelevant it may be. If you can't you weren't cut out for the job anyway. That Singaporean article seems kind of ridiculous. Blaming the hate on being female among other things is such a fucking cop-out. There's probably at least as many that will forgive a female in such a position for any mistakes and lack of aptitude just because they're female and it causes their pants to itch.
