If it took you several years to make it to the elite status youre at now, why would you jeopardize that by becoming a style of player that we know you arent.
User was warned for this post i have to some extant agree with this, i have lost my respect for jinro. I know he proborly doesnt give a shit but that doesnt matter. I was so impressed in season 3 by jinros solid and methodical play but now he just took out a (in my opinion) a better player with crap play and then even denying his cheese in the interveiw. But this is sc2, the better player doesnt always win unlike in sc 1. Do you really think going Rax-Gas then bunkering someone with 2 marines and 2 SCVs is cheese?
2. Did you lose your respect for Idra as well for 6-pooling and pulling all his drones?

Flash was first famous on TL because he cheesed Bisu out of a starleague.

Can't argue with rose tinted glasses, man.
In other news, fuck everyone who claims Jinro didn't deserve to win.

1. yes? bunkering in a zerg to 1 base is a stupid gimmick that shouldnt be in the game, also who cares about the timing when zerg still have 0% chance of getting a second
2. jungle basin.

Guys you are all going to get warned/temp banned for bashing jinro in his own fanclub thread. If you really want to argue this make a thread about it where we can hopefully get some legitimate discussion going (lol asif thats going to happen)

Then how the fuck are you defining cheese? Attacking at any point in the first few minutes? I'll just go tell Jinro, you shouldn't try and hurt your opponent until you take your second in case some TL poster loses respect for you for some completely arbitrary reason. Bunker rushing isn't unstoppable, and in case you have the shortest memory ever it's been around for a good few years.

What the hell is wrong with you?
It's a FAN CLUB THREAD. Not some unbiased little place where you should spew your laughable bullshit about what you percieve to be the lack of honor and respect in the fucking person the whole thread is dedicated to. Get the FUCK out you are making me sick.
Go JINROOOOOO! Well played and I love the positive attitude + honesty, hope they can fix the sound problems for future rounds.
|
it's not Jinro's problem that IdrA can't stop being bunkered in. He didn't use drone patrol and that's why he lost
|
Oh my god, I have totally lost respect for Jinro for playing to win instead of macroing like a brainless idiot so I can watch huge armies fight!!! Doesn't he understand that this game is about me and what I think is entertaining to watch!?!?
Really though, this is The Jinro Fanclub, and if you are not happy that he won, chances are you were never a fan of him in the first place.
I on the other hand think Jinro is amazing and deserves to win the entire GSL.
likkidjinroooo hwaitiiiing!
|
I actually saw and noted that jinro canceled the marine in the rax during idra's 6pool and I thought "wow thats brilliant"... turned out it was completely accidental.
Also, as far as his interview afterwards... I thought those were sound proof booths? Why can they hear the "oooohs" and "AAuuuuGH!"s of the casters? As jinro said, it made him think something was up.
|
Idra should have had a drone patrolling the bottom if he didn't want that to happen. His fault simple as that. Also I don't really understand the bashing of someone in THEIR OWN fan club, I mean i'm not in the Idra thread raging at him for 6pooling
|
I do belive that they play soundcancelling music in the headphones and maybe the booths help, but I tought he said something about a lull in the cancellation-music and then he heard the commentators exclaiming.
|
As far as I'm concerned if you think Jinro is becoming a cheesy player because he beat Idra in some short games
a) perhaps next time think for 5 seconds, then post
and
b) realise that if Idra could hold off Jinro's bunker rushes, we'd have seen the fabled macro games. The fact that he couldn't could mean the maps are bad, that bunker rushing is OP, that early game Zerg is UP, but none of these things have anything at all to do with Jinro. It's not his primary responsibility to entertain you.
(EDIT: Not that I think it's OP or anything)
And laugh out fucking loud at that guy saying the players who did what it took to win have faded into obscurity. It's a tired example by now, but Boxer vs Yellow, bunker rushed I think 5 times or something like that? Yeah SlayerSBoxer is real obscure.
GZ Jinro, smash some MarineKing face.

JINRO HWAITING.
Hopefully you can read through all of this Jinro and hear, that you made some little anon very proud today.
Well done on the wins, I hope you take on MKP with big hairy fists and go on to win this GSL. I'll always be rooting for you.

Correct. Idra is quoted to saying that Jinro is one of the progamers that "plays T the right way." Jinro saw the opportunity to force Idra into roaches, or force a spine crawler. He took that opportunity. Idra didn't expect it from Jinro, didn't have the drone there, then MADE THE DECISION to tap out.
What Jinro did wasn't a cheesy all in. It was early pressure. Idra couldn't deal with the heat. Didn't have the fortitude to continue.
|
Congratulations Jinro! You played great tonight.
I'll admit though - Jinro hearing the announcers and deciding to scout because of it is..a bit unfair under the circumstances. None the less, it's over with and on to the next round.
I hope you win the GSL Jinro, you deserve it with the way you have played this season.
Any player who can play Terran that way, and win without using Marauders while playing like Jinro deserves massive respect and to win the GSL.
Good luck Jinro, I'll see you on Sunday.
