I agree... Some of the comments are from those worthless recon class teammates. I personally use assault and engineer classes since I want to be in the action instead of watching the action. Besides recon class players, I hate medics who never revive or heal their teammates.

why is the skill level of this game so terrible.
I am in no way a great player but finding myself acing quite often :/

So there's no physical box to go buy? You're basically buying an activation code online?

i wouldn't say terrible...just...it's kinda strange with the skill level, yeah... actually most of the guys who really play it a lot and are also good, play it on private servers, hardly ever public. so if you know how to play that game on a certain level, know the mechanics, you should be doing pretty good amongst the majority of the casual players. i played it for almost half a year from time to time (but good ), stopped for 2 months completely and after that started again and i just ripped through enemies...

if you look for medics you should try some squadrushes...it's usually a pure medic madness, especially in the esl ladders and cups! pretty much the best guys are medics... i think, depending on the game mode, your team needs some of those "worthless" recons, especially the ones who know how to play it (who are also good offensive players, not just sitting back) but i agree...if you got a bad (gamedeciding) offensive core or a team mostly outta selfish recons you're pretty much screwed. as i said...the good people are usually playing on private servers in aranged teams. so if you're really looking for a chance to win, you should get those people, or into one of those teams. playing public on your own is pretty much, again depending in the game mode, just a matter of luck if you get into the team with the good or the not so good people...

if anyone wants to play sometime...

bought the game for Christmas since i loved battlefield 2, and let me say that i love this one too. I think its a great game. Playing public is alright, but I'd much rather get into private matches. I played counter-strike competitively and loved it. How would i go about getting into a decent clan and getting some scrimming in? btw if anyone wants to play DMBJonesy- same as TL name

Would be awesome if some TL members got together and played in a squad. The teamwork goes such a long way.
Also, if you are looking for a group of players to just jump in and communicate/play with you should try the mumble server on the reddit BC2 community. www.reddit.com/r/badcompany2
You'll need the Mumble voice chat client, but when I knew no one else who played the game I just logged into the server and everyone was immediately friendly and awesome and a lot of great teamwork oriented games came out of it.
EDIT: My BC2 name is SharkLobster if you'd like an add.

I'd love to get some TL people in a group and playing
My name is OnlyInDreams, I'm new to the game and not very good at all haha. I pretty much only play medic just cause I like feeling like I'm helping out by healing people and reviving them

I switch between them all. All the more offensive stuff has its perks, but certain maps are begging for you to sit back and pop people in the domewop. I spot and defend and all that jazz too... recons aren't necessarily worthless
I'm still feeling out Vietnam, but in BC2 I was typically a medic when it was time to get serious and try to win a game. Engi too.
e: are there any xbox players ???

My group of ventrilo buddies and I went in on a 16 player ranked server, and have been playing in it usually in the afternoons/evenings (west coast US) and have been having a blast. We're still new to server configuration, and I'm still trying to get a good rotation of maps (currently I've got only the new maps in rotation). It's Hardcore, mostly rush maps.
Hop in and join us, if you feel so inclined! http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/8.6.3.100:19567/
My BC2 alias is Bradenator. :3

I used to play this a lot on PC. Hella fun. I'm almost exclusively a recon though. I play it right though, I usually end up with 10+ pistol kills off the fun -1 shot sniper, if not killed, switch to revolver and tag once- type of play at medium to short range. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ith tough when the other teams is sniper heavy, because as an ex-competitive CS awper, I've yet to meet my sniping equal in BFBC2, I've put up some ridiculous 20 kill streaks as a recon on offense protecting bombs and such on Rush, plus mortars......ahhh, makes me want to play again . :-p

oh yeah... in this case you're right! vietnam only comes as a digital code.

Vantage Point Rush is so imbalanced.. lol.
I never get past the first two points as attacker. The other team just activates a grenade rain and we have no chance of taking anything lol.

I seem to remember getting a coupon in my email from EA if I buy from them. I'm not sure if it was for Vietnam or not.

in the ea eu store you get vietnam for about 15€, steam eu 13€ and amazon for 15$
don't know if steam handles vietnam like a lot of other games and charges 13$ (12,99$) for us but if so, i think steam is the cheapest...

I paid 12.99€ on the EA store (link) and the price has not been increased since.
