Dice as we know them brought us Battlefield 1942 and 3 series, Battlefield 2 series and Bad Company. Also a Battlefield 2142 game.
Bad Company two is a passion project for the PC people, with improved gameplay, the new improvements on frostbite and it's just awesome from the looks of it.

BF2 was a blast! 5 friends going covert ops, taking down radars and just having a blast! Hoping for same action here!

Never played a battlefield game, after the failure that is MW2 PC, I've been checking it out. Have to say it looks fantastic. I'm pretty excited for it, hopefully the beta will be easy to get into.

Always enjoyed battlefield. Played most of them but I really had thing for Vietnam. Bad Company 2 is looking sick.

Anyone else playing the beta right now? I find it really really fun.
This game probably has the best sniping (or at least my favorite) of any FPS I've played. I love how you have to unzoom after each shot and how tiny the field of view is when aiming down the sight.
I never played bad company 1 so I don't know what the classes were like in that, but I'm not so sure how much I like the classes in this compared to 2142.
in both you have 4 classes and just about all of them are mixtures of different classes from BF2: in 2142 the medic and assault were combined, spec ops and sniper combined, and engineer/antitank combined (other class being heavy machine gun). The big difference between BC2 and 2142 is that now assault is pretty much just like the assault class from BF2 (although now with each gun having grenade launchers right from the get-go), the scout class is now just sniper with C4, and the medic was combined with the heavy MG guy.
My favorite class in 2142 was the scout because I loved to have a decent assault rifle and be able to tackle any situation with cloak and C4. Now if I want C4 I have to be a sniper and it just seems pretty counter-intuitive to be one of 2 classes that can kill tanks (the other being engineers with RPGs), but your role is supposed to be staying out of the battle and taking shots from afar. Tanks are usually very far away from snipers lol.
overall though this game is awesome. I love how the assault class is so much more fun than it has ever been before because now grenades can blow up walls and such, it makes the class so much more dynamic than it was before.
The game plays like a much more infantry-focused BF2 since there are so many fewer players in the server (hopefully when the game comes out PC servers will be able to exceed this). There are no pilotable helicopters or tanks, but there are UAV copters that are controlled via remote control (these are the only air units in the game). It so very rarely feels as hectic or as big as BF2 or 2142 ever did, but it's still really fun.

Hopefully they learned to improve their shit, because for the whole freakin' series I've hated all the weapons because they were so useless. Especially the Sniper, couldn't hit shit with it, even short range. Weapons are extremely unrealistic in my opinion compared to Call of Duty MW2. The only reason why I ever played Battlefields were for the Planes and Helicopters which were the only good portions of it. Going to give it a try since MW2 failed a couple of my expectations.

This looks awesome , it looks like a remake of Bf2 with the frostbite engine

And I've gotta be completely honest , I didn't really like 2142 and I hated battlefield BC but this looks awesome and Bf2 is my second favorite game of all times , when I saw theyre releasing it for PC ...I came

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is more realistic than the past Battlefield games. I dunno about the sniper rifle since in Battlefield 2, it had a pretty realistic feel to it. CoD: MW2's guns are not that realistic lol...
