Damage is never important if you can place your hits well while dodging enemy bullets, take that advise from someone who gets banned for "cheating" often.. As in every shooter: Never stop moving. Like I said, assuming you hit 25% more your overall DPS will remain the same as with magnum ammo, so 25% damage comes out ahead. Also, getting banned for 'cheating' is nothing, considering how most players that play this game are really bad and think any KDR above 2 is not legit. It's a pub game due to its low skill ceiling.

Played 1942 a few years ago and absolutely loved it and am loving this as well, besides the fact that I'm really bad at it What's played more, Vietnam or vanilla? Hard to tell at the moment. Whenever I joined a game in Bad Company 2, it's a full house and vice versa. On December 26 2010 06:30 gulati wrote: I'm considering buying this since it's like $6 on Steam right now. I heard it's like MW2, but you can destroy every single thing you can imagine in-game. My question is if it's still played a lot on PC? I hate buying games to realize the multiplayer-base is next to dead What you heard is WRONG. Bad Company 2 is nothing like MW2 and it's way better. The only similarities is that it's a FPS game, there are weapon selection and some perks. It's not even a year old and there are plenty of servers for both the vanilla game and the Vietnam expansion. I either get kicked because of a high ping, or get kicked because punkbuster is an outdated piece of crap. Sad to hear that, but apart from some issues with the EA servers after Vietnam's release, it's been running stable for most players. You should email the EA tech support or try the live chat to resolve your issues.

You need to use a cg/rpg, you need to look through the scope, you need to have it near the red square for several seconds and when it is locked on a distance will appear below the square. You can leave the scope for a short time and still have a homing missle but you will need to relockon (although I believe it is faster) in order to have homing missles. About the huey in BC2V: Imo it ain't that strong. Most people just get killed because they fire on it. Only fire on it when you are in a blindspot, otherwise just hide under trees/in buildings. If you are playing conquest the mg of the tank is a very powerful weapon. I'm not sure what to think about Vietnam so far, the maps seem unbalanced to me. Vantage point in Rush mode is the best example (attackers will have grenades in the spawn at the first objective). But really, there are insanely good spots on every map. I also feel that the terrain is way less destructible compared to BC2 (but in turn the framerate for me is a lot better).

Hueys are definitely not overpowered. I sniped out several with rockets on the first day of playing. Supposedly theyre really weak vs rifle or machine gun fire as well. Like the guy two posts above said, as long as you're not a moron and don't engage it head on, you can make it work.

I still love it though... best looking + sounding rifle, though the iron sights are awful.

(Head hitbox is like 3 times the size of the actual head) The head hitbox is huge. I agree. But I don't think there is any form of auto aim. Maybe they just count any 1 shot kill as a head shot for some reason. Using the m40 you still have to aim far above targets that are far away to hit them and you still have to aim ahead of running targets to hit them. I don't think it's easier to hit in any way. People dying from m40 shots above the waist is not necessarily something bad and doesn't make the game take less skill.
