The data is already included in the latest BF:BC2 patch, so if your game is up to date, you can play Vietnam. All you need to do is buy it and redeem the registration code ingame. I've played a few rounds now and it's really fun. Very intense, very much action, in all modes. I'm not sure if I like everyone except snipers losing scopes. The heavy focus on infantry makes the game feel very different to the original BC2, and I'll see myself switching between the two frequently. When I'm in the mood for action and mayhem, I'll play Vietnam, else, I'll stick with the standard game.

There's not that much cover in these maps and you die really quickly in this. Get over it already, it's been like a fucking year by now.... Bad Company is the best online FPS on the market, especially compared with shite like Medal of Honor and so on... That Tier 1 bullshit was ridiculous... I was in the beta and I deleted it in DISGUST like 2 hours after installing it....

Someone posts an opinion that's perfectly OK, no need for you to rage like that and start comparisons noone asked for. I agree with people dieing quickly in Vietnam - but I accept that as a different style of playing. There's no need for more cover when it'll be a massive infantry slaughterfest anyway. And it's a nice alternative to BF:BC2 matches, which can quickly become static and punish those that actually do something.

I could take or leave prone in BC2 but Vietnam you can pretty much snipe people with smg's from across the maps (which have no cover because there aren't really any buildings)

BC2 is 75% off right now, as well as hundreds of other games.

I've been playing for a little over a week now (don't have it from Steam, though) and I'm totally hooked. I really enjoyed shooters some time ago (CS 0.x-1.5, UT) but could never really enjoy modern shooters for whatever reasons; they just weren't fun. BF:BC2 though is everything I want: Quick action, but with team play and some strategy/tactics involved.

The M16 has the best firing sound of any video game gun I've ever heard. Just so good... (maybe it's the new headphones). I can see myself playing it far more than BC2, if not just for the far more reasonable weapon damage numbers in normal mode. It also seems more focused on infantry combat, which is a plus for me atleast (I hate vehicle oriented maps, such as Heavy Metal. I didn't have this issue in BF2 at all).
