Aight, first of all, this is my first blog post, so I'll see how it goes. =)
Righteyhoooo, I'm a silver (lol) Protoss player. This might sound a lil weird but, should I switch to Terran?
I feel that toss is mostly about gateway untis + collossi/High templar. Well, sure, sometime I get funky and go DTs (gateway unit but still.. :D). More than that it's quite boring. Terran has different ways to choose, I mean, mech/bio, you can go the lamest unit in the game (shees). You can drop, I try to do this as much as I can as toss but still.. I tried random for 30~ games and when I played terran I just failed, I had loooooads of minerals and was unsure what to go against what.
So my questions are:
Should I switch to T? Or is it still like, "lol t op noob".
Any tips while playing terran?
Thanks in advance and excuse my english, feel free to correct ^.^

this is not a decision someone will make for u, if u feel terran suits u better than protoss then u should switch
i think u just died to much from bioball and instead of saying imba u went straight away to the "imma switch my race and make marinzzz and win!"

Well no, I favor playing against terran, PvP is boring and PvZ is random. So PvT is really good =). Not that I'm bragging about me always winning against terran, I do not. But I just think it suits better, but still I'm unsure, since the new patch will bring some changes to the airfleet of toss, I'm unsure wether to stay as P or not.

It's totally a personal choice. Try playing T and see if you like it at all. Personally I started as Z and for a while I got fed up with the lack of options Z had for early game so I started playing around with the other races. While the other races had other cool things to do, I still felt most comfortable as zerg. You just have to figure out your own sort of playstyle and find whatever race fits into your playstyle and even then, you can play pretty much any style in any race one way or another. Zerglings are cute and I find it easier to marcro from just hatches then having to switch between buildings so thats why I stuck to zerg. So in conclusion, go find out for yourself!!!!!! GLHF!

Yeah, just try Terran and see if you like it. The biggest difference between terran and the other races is that you can be a lot more aggressive with a bunch of different builds. It's pretty fun to be the aggressor in your match-ups and not the defender/passive player. Plus all the Terran match-ups are cool, including TVT. It's the mirror least dependent on build order wins and you aren't just restricted to one build.

The fact that you're in silver gives you a lot more leeway to change races. You're still learning the game so it doesn't hurt at all to just try all the races, but once you get into plat/diamond it's probably better to stick with one unless you really hate it. Remember, it's a game, the important thing is to have fun. If you're not having fun with your race then switch it up.

I feel like you've just outlined what I think of as the biggest issue with SC2 right now. It's not a matter of balance, just that Terran play seems to be so varied in comparison to Zerg or Protoss play. But given the trends BW followed over the years, I'd venture to guess that Protoss play will become more varied as the game matures (just watch oGsMC's games in the most recent GSL). Honestly, if you like Protoss in general, I'd recommend sticking with it.
SC2 is still a very young game. Like others have mentioned, a race switch is ultimately your decision alone, but my prediction is that Protoss play is gonna start to be more varied in the coming months.
Of course, if you like playing Terran more than playing Protoss, switching is probably the right choice.

Thanks for the replies =) Giving me lots to think of. But well, that's what I think about terran, they can be more varied. Whilst toss is like the same stuff, rinse and repeat.
But about that then, if you're terran (doesn't matter really, anyway) please tell me some ups and downs about terran=)

the thing that makes Terran friendly to noobs is that you can simply practice one standard opening (2 rax expand) and be able to deflect all sorts of cheesy builds without changing up your build.

Well, if you want to have an easier time getting promoted to diamond I'd say play terran. But from there on out it stops being as simple
