Day 1 Chaos erupts across Kanto... The sun rose in Pallet Town and a cool breeze blew peacefully across the land. Carl, a young Poke'researcher, stopped just outside of Professor Oak's Laboratory to observe a Pidgey flying overhead. The small bird tore across the sky to the east. This was an unusual flight pattern for the Pidgey. During the spring, Pidgeys fly to the west to mate. As the Pidgey disappeared over the horizon the young researcher heard a sound much like thousands of tiny wings flapping. Quickly that quiet sound became a roaring cacophony and Carl looked up to the skies once more. Thousands of Pidgeys were flying as fast as they could toward the East. Pidgeys don't change their migration patterns unless frightened or upset. Whatever it took to scare a thousand Pidgeys wasn't something Carl wanted to see face to face and he quickly ducked inside the lab. Professor Oak's usually bustling lab of Pokemon research was completely empty. The laboratory contained several bookshelves, a few computers, and a PPR machine (Pokemon Projectional Radiograph) for full Pokemon body scans. Carl sat by the door as the ground rumbled from the immence force of Pokemon desparately flying toward the east. The windows shattered, spraying glass onto his back. Covering his face, he ran toward the back of the lab. As he crossed the middle of the laboratory, a bookshelf came tumbling down onto his shoulders. Pinned against the floor, he turned his neck slowly toward the PPR machine. The door had flung open, revealing the bloody corpse of Professor Oak. Scrawled in blood on the east wall were the initials TR. He turned his head once more, this time to look out the window that shattered when he entered the lab. A massive pillar of water was pulsating in the oceans near Cinnabar Island. Carl had never seen such a display of power, this could only be caused by a Pokemon of immense power that was as of yet unseen. If only he would live to document the event. The weight of the shelf on his cracked bones became too much to bear. The combination of internal bleeding and pain overtook him as his eyes slowly shut. A figure emerged from the huge pillar of water and flew off into the distance but his vision was too blurry to make it out. Then there was nothing. A power was awoken deep in a lake near Fuschia City. A small catlike Pokemon emerged from the surface and floated gracefully away. Professor Oak the Pokemon Professor has died. Carl the Pokemon Researcher has died. Mewtwo the Psychic Humanoid Pokemon has entered play. Mew the Psychic Pokemon of Origin has entered play. The day has begun. It will end at 1200 KST on Sunday (TL time) or 7:00 PM PST/10 EST on Saturday. You have a little extra time today.

Inactives: A big problem in every mafia game is inactivity. I don't want another drag_ being able to squeak by with barely any posts. We should immediately show it is not okay to be inactive. Inactive players hurt the town as they waste lynches down the road as the town will need to try to separate the mafia from the inactives. We should therefore lynch an inactive day one. This will force the assassins to discuss and not be able to turtle, increasing the chance they will slip up. Plan Firstly. DO NOT CLAIM DO NOT CLAIM Good now that we got that out of the way, some other ideas. One plan that would work is to use the blue roles to promote activity in the town. The Alakazam should check the inactive people and the lurkers, as it is incredibly difficult if not impossible to tell the difference between a bored townie and a lurking mafia. The Chansey's should protect active players, this way the mafia won't be able to take out the people who are contributing the most to town, so people won't be scared of trying to put forth their opinions.

Lynching an inactive typically results in lynching an apathetic townie. Everyone should be posting frequently to discuss who should die for day 1. There are no PM's so everything should be out in the open. We should really worry less about how the blues should play. Thinks like role checks won't be overly reliable, and saving people cannot be discussed in the thread. It probably would be a good idea for the electrodes to think about where to place voltorbs and pick up on good scum tells.

Raichu - Miller Chansey - Medic Cloyster - Veteran Alakazam - Detective Electrode - Mad Hatter Mew - Special Detective Gengar - God Father Koffing - Mafia Grunt Weezing - Mafia Shrink Mewtwo - 3rd Party Vigilante notice how our only way of killing at night is Mad Hatter and 3rd party.. 3rd party is technically against us and will probably kill town over mafia due to immunity and their goal is to be last alive.

I agree with LSB as well, no role claiming strategies. They almost never work.

Although generally lynching an inactive won't net a mafia. (There are a few close exceptions). Inactives hurt the town as in later days as we have to waste lynches trying to separate them from lurking mafia If someone slips up and is scum, yes we should go after them. However, activity is always important
