I played (well took turns playing with my friend) both penumbra games. We started this last weekend but I was shrooming and it was getting to intense playing this game so we stopped but look forward to getting deeper in it next weekend. I really recommend penumbra if you liked this as they are both excellent games as well (same creator and same style different storyline).

T_T If this game is scarier than Saya no Uta, then I will start downloading immediately.

You should start downloading immediately then, because Saya no Uta wasn't scary at all...?

Agree with Tyrio's statement

How long did it take you to finish? Also, how much mb is it?

It took me maybe 8 hours to finish it and the game is about 2GB. It costs $19.99 on steam.
I was actually going to stream myself playing this game while talking to myself and/or screaming like a little girl but I couldn't get the stream working

I don't believe there is really any explicit gore in Amnesia (I watched a playthrough), there is a lot of implied/flashback journal...unpleasantness though.
I guess there's gore in Saya, though it's mostly just fleshy walls and Saya eating things.

Haha I watched the trailer and I so can't handle this kind of games or movies. Absolutely not my thing and sadly I can find no enjoyment in it.
However it looks brilliantly made and I can really feel the fear and terror in the atmosphere seep into me. I immediately felt it with the first sounds of the "female" you hear at the start and the breathing/music is just brilliantly done.
Going to recommend it to some of my friends who are into this kind of thing.

Most of the puzzles are logical and fairly straightforward. You'll feel kinda dumb after you figure it out most of the time for not figuring it out sooner (I did in a certain room with gears). I had a bug in one area though where I knew exactly what to do with the puzzle but the hand wouldn't grasp the object, so I had to look up a guide (god please try not to look in a guide, you'll probably ruin the experience) and eventually load a previous save.
The storage cellar is probably the biggest hump to the "too scary dont want to play this anymore" feeling. After that I wanted to sit down and finish the game.

I was afraid of swimming pools for weeks after playing this game.
God damn it. Still one of my favorite games tho! Love the scary atmosphere :d
