I tried it and it worked soooo well! Never ever has someone gotten this angry while BMing me after they lose. Best thing was when he put me to /ignore while he was the one trashtalking me OT: I once had a similar situation. Someone who wanted to make a move on my gf cought that I play BW. He then startet talking to a friend, loud so that we could hear it, that he won all big LANs for BW in the last years and that the game is so easy for him that he would beat anyone. I walked over to him, said "hello" very friendly and asked for his name and that I came across he was a big SC gosu. He smiled and told me about his winnings etc. I asked him whom he met in the finals of the last big event he played in and thats it. He didnt know what to say and his smile disappeared. I just walked back to my friends and talked about other things than SC, showing him that I dont care about what he did. When he was drunk later the day, he started offending me in the crowd which shows me that he must have felt really bad. I silently enjoyed and ignored him completely. Now that I think about it... Maybe I shlould have replied to him with a sad face after our conversation... Dont waste too much time on people like this. If you dont want to be friends with them anyways, it doesnt matter what they think about you. If they dont stop trashtalking to you, ask them for a game and win. If they stop, dont hink about them anymore

But for SC2 a quick check of sc2ranks.com or an in-game looksie will give you a pretty good idea of who is the better player. Silently dismantling a shit talker in his game might be the best feeling a nerd can experience. Smash is the worst. Everyone thinks they're the shit at that game. I, of course, am the shit at that game (64 and melee).

Chances are if you just challenge one to a 1v1 or something, and you win, they'll just be like "lolnerd", or they might not even accept the challenge at all. After all, they have nothing to prove. The only way to "win" is make them feel 100% confident, make them put money on the line, and completely "own" them. ^_______________________________________^

These guys are classmates and I simply tried to give some helpful input, then they arrogantly assumed i was terrible. I'm sure all of you have met people like these. They think they are more valuable then everyone else and deserve special privileges. They think they can cut in front of you while driving because they are more important. They think they are better at everything. Not this time. Not Starcraft.

If their behavior during those games is any indication of how they are in real life, I salute you for setting them straight. Of course, like many, they can just ignore the defeat and call you a nerd who plays too much and start spreading rumors about you. I dunno
