So for the Tournament, I started my day with some great homemade muffins, while browsing TL. Just getting ready watching my Day[9] Dailies. I packed up my Keyboard and mouse and headed out the door. The Drive was about 30 mins, just taking my time, stopped to get gas and a banana. Once arriving at Versus Gaming, I had about 1&1/2 hours to get ready. On a noob mistake, I took an 5 hour energy right before going in. That was bad, very bad.
Not going to go into all the games, because I cant remember half of them. But I will going into a couple of them. My first one was kinda easy. But the main problem came from my 5 hour energy. I was mis-clicking and failing to micro several times. But we all make some mistakes this was mine. So after that game, I had to play my next 3 all in a row. Winning all but the last one, it was PvT and I didnt cheese either of the 2 games, but come to find out, I suck at late game PvT. So I lost that 0-2. Now I go into the loser's bracket.
Going into the loser's bracket, I am a little more calm. I had been drinking powerade the whole time, trying to get the 5 hour energy out of my system. My first game going in it was PvT again. Not looking forward to it. The terran tried to build a bunker in the middle of my base. Guess he thought I didnt know how to pull probes or something. Knowing I was ahead, I played it safe and just Expo into 7 gate push. The next game I went DT and won the game, due to some very very very cloes EMP luck. I mean my DT was about a CM off from getting hit. After that I went into a PvP, and if anyone knows me, I love my 4 gate PvP. So won that with np. Now going into the Semi-Finals, Its a PvZ. First game, thought it was going well till the ultras came out of know were and I gg'ed a min later. And the next game I tried a Void push but failed hard. And thats when I lost my chances of winning. Taking 3rd for my first local Tournament, I was happy.
Last I will leave you with a quote from someone who summed up the Tournament. " Coming in at 3rd place, fro and all, BRoll! Proving himself to be one of the best Protoss players in Utah, BRoll "tossed" away his competition and walked away with the 3rd place prize!"
