I got a ticket, and I live on the southern side of the bridges in Arlington. I spoke with the wife (big gamer her self) and im pretty sure I can have a few people stay the weekend to avoid the hotel costs. The closest metro stop for me is Pentagon or Pentagon City (both the same distance from my place)
I have lots of interwebs, 42" TV a fold out couch tons-o-floor space Cheap (BYOB) A wife that enjoys guests and cooking
Only thing is I have a dog Limited parking for cars Its an Apt.
Just send me a PM on TL forums or add me to google/gmail mark[dot]pierce[dot]d[AT]gmail[dot]com if you are interested and/or cheap

Never been to the gaylord resort, but i have a decent idea where its located.
i live in between umbc and cp so i have decent knowledge of the city streets, and the hoods for that matter.

btw if you're flying in and have a choise between DCA, IAD, and BWI, DCA (ronald reagan washington national airport) is pretty much directly across from the river from the venue, if that matters to you. IAD is about 45 minutes away or an hour in traffic, and BWI is about an hour away + 15-30 if you have traffic. DCA to national harbor shouldn't be more than like 15 minutes (plan for 30 to be safe, obviously) from the door to the airport to the door of the venue.

Will be there playing. Not 100% about my travel ideas just yet- I live in Springfield VA but don't have a car and basically rely on the metro. I should be fine though.

The welcome speech is at 5 PM EST, and the tournament starts around 5:30 PM EST.
As for the exact StarCraft 2 schedule for DC, it has not been released yet.

Yea I will definitely be there though I will have to figure out times for Friday since I work over near Fairfax, VA and live in Bethesda, MD
|
:/ what time do you finish? I do not think you have a lot of time to go from Fairfax -> Bethesda -> DC.
This is what MLG_Deimos said

We'll see. Government contracts are not known for their leniency when it comes to hours. Might get there a little late but I'm spec'ing anyway so it should be fine. Definitely won't miss Saturday
|
Really wish I could go. I'm too poor.
|
I live 30 mins from the Venue and may go, but I'm still too pissed I didnt get in. Hate the signup format. Should really have an online tourney for the 16 invites
