It is I Golem72 and I am still waiting for a name change from its current name. Anyways I was thinking on the difference between broodwar and SC2 and I stumbled on a little fact or difference between the 2 and have also noticed that there was something missing from the SC2 players that the broodwarr players had or at least fail to do during gameplay. To get straight to the point Broodwar players usually walled off with either hatcheries, static, defense, or evo chambers. Now really I would like for you to hear me out on this one, the difference that I believe is that Zerg players in SC2 do not build enough hatcheries and I know that argument that is used via the queen and spawn larva mechanic in saying that having a queen produces enough larva for 2 hatcheries. My first point is that yes you want more hatcheries why because the zerg are exponential that is how their race is. I know how the saying goes that you only need 1 queen per hatchery but I just don't feel that it is right. Second point is that the queen will eventually gain enough energy for 2 hatcheries as the game progresses you through the time you macro/micro and battle your opponent and though you can use it to build creep tumors when you feel that it is necessary or you actually need to. Finally I have recently played some 2V2 games and was thinking that usually I'd lose a lot of games and due to the fact that I would not have enough units so I thought to myself what if I just build an extra hatchery at my initial base or expo you know like after I have them saturated or have enough guys that I feel comfortable with to defend or push. So then it got me thinking what if other zerg players did that as well? I mean it wouldn't hurt and it would bring the game back to its roots considering how that is how that game was played by its predecessor. Lastly if you don't like my idea all I'd like in return is that you at least try it in a game and see if it is viable. Also when I say an extra hatchery I mean to place an extra 1 down after your second expo is up and running and everything is good or by the time you have your third. I believe that this should truly overwhelm many protoss and terran forces. Anyways see ya. | ||

but ANYWAYS, tonight i watched you play terran for like 3 hours. I didnt have the sound on but i can just imagine you going "see this shit? this is why i switched. this is shit. i just do this boring strat over and over with tanks and stuff and i get a nice easy win. what the hell blizzard fix your game" so anyways, i guess i dont blame ya. if i could switch over and play at the same level i so would. | ||
