Diner Fight Guy 1: The fuck is wrong with you, man? You'd rather die for some piece of shit that you don't even fucking know? Dave Lizewski: The three assholes, laying into one guy while everybody else watches? And you wanna know what's wrong with me? Yeah, I'd rather die... so bring it on! This is my favorite quote from the movie Kickass, that quote alone makes the movie my second favorite. People are hypocrites today. They don't really care about others very much. You'll see that instead of stopping a fight from happening, intervening, they just sit there.

I was like wow.... I seriously couldn't believe what I saw but then again, I realized that this is New York.... the 5 PM anchor said the same thing. But basically, those 2 youtube videos made it fame for today by being on mainstream media in practically all networks and sites besides the hurricane which I also find ridiculous but meh, w/e. But it's clear who's wrong here as most of us can agree who are the stupid ones. I mean they all are but the real criminals in this case. It just sickens me that this will be now used to worsen the image of Americans or even NYers at this rate... Anyway, since no one posted the updated news about the aftermath that I found in regards to the punishment, here ya go: Fan trio in U.S. Open brawl banned from Flushing tennis tourney until 2013 as video goes viral BY Wayne Coffey, Mark Morales and Larry Mcshane Daily News Staff Writers Call this one a triple fault: A trio of brawling tennis fans were barred Friday from returning to the U.S. Open until 2013. The threesome traded blows in the upper deck of Arthur Ashe Stadium during a Thursday night match, with all three eventually thrown out - and then banned from the Open through Sept. 30, 2012. Joey Pedevill was hiding out in his East Side apartment as video of his foul-mouth tirade and fight with Tracey Falco and her dad Lawrence Burnett became an internet sensation. "He's freaking out," Pedevill's girlfriend, Heather Gaffin, outside their apartment. "He didn't do anything wrong. Thank God, he didn't do anything wrong." The girlfriend's father said the 27-year-old wants to put the incident behind him. "He doesn't want the attention," the dad said. "He doesn't need the publicity." Another witness, Sue Linford, said she was stunned to see the typically calm tennis crowd transfixed by the spasm of violence - a showdown that pitted Pedevill versus Falco, 49, and Burnett, 75. "I've never, ever seen anything like it," said the British tourist. "I thought it was going to be a great brawl." The fight began when Falco confronted Pedevill over his foul language - which only escalated after she slapped him across the face. Pedevill, a Mike Tyson fan and a former high school wrestler, smiled broadly and mockingly clapped his hands after the blow. "C'mon, smack me again," he taunted. "Go ahead ... I don't give a f--- what anybody wants. I got a lot of money on this game, and I f------ paid for my ticket." Arnold Florendo, 37, of Great Neck, L.I., who caught the fracas with a video camera, said the verbal sparring seemed to slow down before turning physical again. "You f------ made me miss half the game, because you're being a f------ idiot!" Pedevill snapped - prompting senior citizen Burnett to defend his daughter. The bespectacled battler grabbed the younger man by his throat, and the pair tumbled down the stairs in the stadium's upper tier. The fighting erupted during the Novak Djokovic-Philipp Petzschner match, which was briefly halted as the combatants were led out. The players, along with many fans, stood staring at the fighters. All three were handcuffed and taken to a loading dock area, but released when they declined to press charges. Burnett - who was wearing a Mets cap - was spotted undergoing police questioning while sitting in a wheelchair. None of the brawlers will be welcomed back at the tennis major until the tournament in 2013. "If they come on the grounds any time before then, they can be arrested for trespassing," said Chris Widmaier, spokesman for the U.S. Tennis Association. Equal punishment apparently and all of them handcuffed....

They'd probably be better off just handing him $5000 and say we're sorry for being idiots. Maybe in Canada, but in the USA he'll only get compensated for his actual damages in a civil suit (in other words jack shit). He'd lose time/money by hiring an attorney just for the case as compared to the reward ($1 nominal damages for the battery) he'd receive. Doubt he'd get anything for mental harm or awarded punitive damages for this. Settlement is a possibility, but bringing a lawsuit for this would just be retarded imo. A criminal case might be better, but I doubt the State would decide to prosecute them. But on another note, totally forgot about "how can she slap." Fucking hilarious.

When she tried to pull my hair, I flung her agst the wall and locked her arms not really to hurt, but keep her from moving and said some shit to keep her in line. Of course crowd gathered and her friends kept shouting some shit like "she's just a girl how can you do this" crap. And she was crying like she was raped. Not everyone in the crowd was buying her drama and even sympathizing with me, but I still felt like shit because lot of people were giving me the look. If it happened again, id probably do the same thing. I'm not just gonna take all the abuse and not protect myself, but now i know that there's no 100% winning with hostile women. Just the way it is I guess.

(you obviously wouldn't beat the shit out of her. you wouldn't beat the shit out of a weaker guy either. one sucker punch and they're down and out - you've made your point) Why? Because we're chauvanistic. Slapping a girl in the bedroom, if she's into that type of thing, is a different story though..... I dunno, but I could really put the hurt on her if I did hit her - I'm 240 lbs (110 kilos), I've had years of martial arts training and years of playing (Canadian) football and rugby..... Maybe it's just because I could really, really hurt her if I did..... And it's not just girls I won't hit - it's also those smaller guys (what, 99% of TL )..... The boyfriend of a friend of mine wanted to fight me one time when he was drunk..... I am bigger than him by at least 100 lbs (45 lbs), and by a good foot (30 cm) in height..... Of course I didn't fight him..... He thought he would lose too, but the reason he wanted to fight was "for the rush"..... He thanked me the next time I saw him.....

In an ideal world, you will clearly look like "the better man" if you refuse to respond to violence with violence. But people are unfortunately idiots. -_- The bitch probably would have pressed charges if he hit back, so it was the right decision. Disappointing that he didn't press charges against that senile old man, though. He really deserves some sort of punishment.

As for the OP questions... fuck double standards. It's such a shame that society deems hitting a girl back as taboo while stressing gender equality. If violence can be avoided then great, but if not then the genders involved shouldn't matter at all. How can someone who believes in gender equality argue getting smacked by a guy is different from being smacked by a girl. Would I hit a girl if she hit me first? Shit, morally I see no problem but people still view it as something you just don't do. If I'm in a I-don't-give-a-fuck mood, sure I'll hit her back. Otherwise I'll probably let it slide and just try to avoid the situation.
