I watched some of the other episodes, just to see what the show was about, and pretty much all the men that are contestants are small, weak, and probably have no dignity. This dude on the other hand had some balls, and didn't take it. Good for him.

wtf poor guy! He was having an argument with his girlfriend (or whatever, who cares?), something that everyone goes through, he takes a slap like a fucking man and refuses to even touch her, and then the entire fucking stadium tackles him.
I wouldn't hit anyone back in that sort of mix up. Hitting back is the caveman thing to do, and makes your argument (whatever it's about, who cares?) pretty invalid pretty fast in the context of the situation.
That said, if the entire stadium tackled me for arguing with my girlfriend in public, I'd at least try to defend myself.

Gordon Ramsey being the manliest fucker in the room while showing us all how it's done. No matter what either side says nobody has any right to slap. Gordon can be a fucking asshole, but he sure handled that fucking well.
