I deliberatly chose to broaden my ways of thinking when i started going to university by engaging in several conceptual ( at least that is what i thought) different activities( like languages with only far relations to romanic/germanic languages, music, martial arts etc) , but in the last one or two years or so i began to seriously doubt that apporach wishing that i had focued more on my primary subject ( which is physics) and feared that it was to late to catch up to the good guys i started with. As a result i carry quite an amount of shame with me, and fear that my prof.'s deem me a failure for having achieved so little in so much time.( My parents and some friends also begin to lower their expectations for me i think.) I hope your moral can be true for me too in that i can still focus enough to achieve what i have set out to. Its a tough road, but if you pull it all together, you'll be ahead in the long run; I'd say the best example of this was Albert Einstein, in that he does get into this groove much later than most of his peers, but keeps on going and think what always you to keep on going is that you don't experience a mid-life crisis because you have experienced a lot already and also you inherently approach your work with more of a broader understanding of its relevance and potential scope. Cheers ^^ | ||
