me and my little brother played that game religiously when we were younger, he was 8 i was maybe 11... i never ever once thought that game was scary at all, i mean... the artwork is dark and eerie but there is no sense of urgency/survival/fear just run around and eat potions and kill things. Besides, even if you are a feminine little sissy man and get scared playing diablo 2, you always have the option of throwing down a portal and going back to town to take a few minutes to reach up your giant gaping vagina and find your small, disfunctional testicles. Now if any of you played the first few Silent Hill games when you were younger you would understand real fear.

Personally, Silent Hill, Diablo, System Shock, all these supposedly scary games were like "meh" to me; sort of seems that way when you're exposed to certain fora and regularly expect shock GIFs on every pic that's loading; but I'd really go bonkers if you made me lie down in a casket.

Wtf . -_______- I meant flashy, gay shiny stuff. Not actual rainbows lol The dark colors/setting in the barbarian reveal is what I want and will look good. Just hope the story is good, scary and chilly, so I can enjoy it. But good find nonetheless xD

I'd expect the scenery to change and get darker the further in the game you get.

Diablo is still Diablo. LOL except for all the neon flashy stuff, and the rainbows, and the silly dancing witch-doctor, and the game's slowness, and the general visual feel that nothing is actually impacting (they're fighting a boss and i literally feel like nobody got hit and nobody hit him until he just fell over)... not like diablo 2 where there's really satisfying impact sounds, and things get really physically hit...

I mean, they've already got to make up for the lack of Matt Uelmen providing that perfect, and essence of Diablo, score. Diablo 1 and 2 was masterpieces, the atmosphere, music, sound, gameplay just everything was amazing and made Diablo what it was. It won't be possible to create a similar feel with the new 3d technologies etc, Diablo 3 will be fun but will be nowhere close to D1 or D2. Just listen to that theme, it has a blissful and serene feeling to it. Makes me feel like playing through Diablo 1 again with a friend (with music on, i always play without it). Also, for those who loved the Tristram theme should hear this one. Ignore the video and listen to the song, it's insane.

Yeah, sounds pretty damn childish to me. Perception vs. Reality. You make the Warcraft universe sound more mature than it really is. I'll admit I liked Warcraft until the third. I thought the second was kind of childish with its bright colour palette, goblins, gnomes, dwarves, and 'steam punk' type technology. Both the voices for human and orc mission debriefs made me laugh because of how ridiculously over the top they were. But I'll take my bloodthirsty orcs over the bullshit shamanistic 'demon corrupted' orcs any day. When Blizzard started fucking around with Warcraft lore and added MORE ELVES and COW MEN with more STEAMPUNK was the day I wrote that franchise off. The bright colours, clunky 3D graphics, horrific voice acting and shallow, predictable plot made it even worse and completely confirmed that Blizzard was dumbing down the franchise for children and lonely men. Don't even get me started on WoW.
