**Cointan many instances of the F-word**
It's 5:30 now, it will be around 6am when I finish writing this. I am doing this right now because I have just did my first exploration through Wings Of Liberty game and I have some thoughts to share.
I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and here there would be one of the midnight lauching parties Blizzard is (was) making. Although I was not so pumped about StarCraft 2 after I played through the beta (still think BW is far more fun to play), I thought it would be cool to go there.
Party was cool, I got myself some gifts (a "cell-chain" Hearthstone and a little creep with a lil' hydralisk plastic doll). So I decided to buy the version they were selling, which was R$50,00 (28,40 US Dollars) version, which gives a limited 6-Month access to the game.
(Off-topic note: I'm not good at writing short texts, but now I'll get to the point)
As I played through the game, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with two things:
The first is the translation: They translated the entire thing without giving an option to play in the original language. And some things (like Hell, Yeah) sound just so fucking stupid in portuguese it hurts, and they used slangs that were just, ARGH!. But that's not the main problem, as I could go on with it. The main problem is that they translated the name of many units and, by doing this, they CHANGED THE FUCKING HOT KEYS. To select Larvae it's "L" and to make a zergling it's "Z". Now, please, type this in your keyborad:
"L" "Z"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LARVA DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME IN ENGLISH!!! WHY "L", WHY?
I'm frustated. I went to the party with a friend of mine and it was just his version we activated, so this way I think I have a better chance of giving the game back. Or maybe I can just play this and 6 months from now I buy the English Version. Or maybe someone here can come with the magic of telling me how I change the hotkeys and make the original voices to appear. Well, thanks for reading.

Was the same in SC/BW when you bought it in German...
I don't remember exactly which hotkeys were terrible... I think Psistorm and Unburrow where plain horrible :/.
But i think there is a possibilitie to change your hotkeys to a grid system or something like that?

That sucks man , although I'm pretty sure this information was out there, maybe you should have bought a US copy of the game.

I think the worst part about that is you only have 6 months to play before you have to start a god damn monthly fee for it. Paying a monthly fee for anything other than a MMO is completely retarded because it costs 0 dollars maintaining starcraft in comparison to a MMO. This is just another way for blizzard to milk out all the money they can, which really hurts the player because it discourages long term play because you will probably end up paying more than americans in the longer term. Look at someone who played sc1 since the release date. If they had to pay a monthly fee, im sure it would be multiple times that of the original game cost.
You can just pirate the game and play on a pirate server like Iccup or something, but you still won't be able to access b.net, which sucks.

can I have your guest code, please? would love ya
btw, there is a software that you can use to remap your keys. I don't remember its name, but I used it to play Protoss in BW long time ago. since I'm a zerg player I was more confortable with the probe key to be S, not P... the only problem is that it changes your key for everything so when you chat you will have to type the "wrong" key. lol
I'm not sure, but I think they gave the option to customize your keys in SC2. can someone confirm that?
