When talking to a friend of mine about professional gaming and the scene in general, he asked me what things I'd like to do related to Starcraft 2. At first I wasn't sure, I know I want to make a impact on Starcraft 2 and be a part of the community, but there are also some other things I've wanted to do. So, I decided to list them :D
1. Meet Day9 (not only an awesome guy, but someone who gave me a great look into Starcraft:BW and Starcraft 2)
2. See a pro gaming match live (Weather that be in Korea or WCG. I've always wanted to see it in person)
3. Play against some of the top SC2 gamers (I hope to do this as I play heavily in the ladder)
4. Get a career in gaming or esports (I'm a student studying games programming, but I've always wanted a career in esports and help it grow more and more)
5. Make Idra ragequit :D (jk, I've been a personal fan of idra and I think it's awesome he's playing with CJ entus working hard to make Starcraft his life)
If you guys have your own list, please do tell :D

haha, I'd like to see Boxer he's the man that made me pick Terran in sc1.

1. Win some sort of SC2 tournament :D
|
|
Well I'm not terribly interested in playing or spectating SC2 atm, but I'd definitely enjoy meeting Day 9 or watching a pro-gaming match live, or preferably watching a pro-gaming match live with Day 9.

There is a lan being organized in spokane!
If not that you could go to PAX which is coming up in August.. lots of SC2 there.
If both those fail I will work my butt off to get a NW lan in the works

1. play the campaign that looks epic 2. mass ums
|
1. Finish sc2 campaign upon release in three days or less 2. Get to diamond rank and maintain 3. Vacation in Korea when older and watch pro games 4. Write guide 5. lan!
|
1. Learn to actually enjoy playing it.
|
1. play for a few months and see if i still feel the need to beat people, or if i'm getting too old for that. 2. go to a wcg sometime in my 20s 3. attempt to get a lan going at my university
|
1. Go to a Lan somewhere besides my own house in a 1v1 with my brother who I beat 75% of the time.(prefarably by NJ)
2. Get a new cpu so if I get it I can use highest settings
3. See/help with the fixing of battle.net 2.0(or as I like to personally call it, battle.net -20.0
4. See Brood War live at least until the day I die.
5. Get friends into Starcraft(any strategies u guys know of? I keep failing at this)
edit: you are never too old for Starcraft and Starcraft2. Just look at White-Ra for an example. What is he, in his thirties or something?
|
1. Improve to a competitive level 2. Improve my friends (mostly from college) to the same level 3. Form a team with said friends 4. Go to an event, a lan or tournament 5. Become somehow involved in esports several years from now, whether as a player, or commentator, or something else
All difficult things, things just I wish I could do someday
|
1. Get some people at my school that are into SC2 together and LAN it up. (well, as LAN as you can get without LAN support, sup lag)
2. Mass games! I'm awesome at strategy, adaptation, timings and transitions but my core mechanics are awful. My hands won't do what my brain wants as fast or efficient as I'd like.
3. Play against some recognized players once I improve. qxc, WhiteRa and TLO would be interesting.
4. Have a practice partner for every race. I already have one for Terran.
5. Have a game I play commentated on the Day[9] Daily.
6. Compete in a SC2 tournament.
