BISU > FLASH yeah, pretty much yes? ) Damn if they did a surprise (even KT and the winner weren't even informed) Bo1 I bet people will rage so hard. stats will come out and pawn bisu with his sublime pvp. Nah im just joking(since i don't even know stats pvp stats LOL), since hwaseung aint in i dunno who to support though. Just want to see some good matches. Join the Bisu's bandwagon

thats kinda stupid if you ask me. why does KT get an Automatic placement in finals? i understand that they earned it, but that seems like too big of a reward for being first.

Try telling that to them....
They've been at the top of the pack after then end of almost an entire year week in week out almost every night with only about 2 weeks off. Sounds about right to me. They are still going to have to play the team that may have beat up to 3 other teams in the finals . not easy.

I don't know, I figure the reward should be a game against the lowest seeded opponent like in most tournaments. At least this way fans can see them play more.

Not necessarily, SKT was 3rd and had to play vs CJ who was 6th. CJ is atm the toughest opponent for SKT.

Random slumping or beasting during the regular season is unpredictable and unavoidable. I agree that being in first place during the regular season should just allow them direct seed into the semifinals against the weaker team rather than seeding directly into the grand finals. If you think about, the non-seeded teams have to play a maximum of 21*3 + 7 = 70 possible matches in order to win while the grand finals seed only has to play a maximum of 7. It's practically impossible for the lower ranked teams to compete in this format -_- it's really rather dumb.
I would much prefer a format like 1 vs. (4 vs. 5) 2 vs. (3 vs. 6) to form the finals. :|

With this format, KT who raped this year's proleague would not have the advantage they definitely deserve over STX

I think the idea of playoffs is to add the possibility of drama and spectacle to the end of a season. Sure, KT has been the best team all season, and if the powers that be wanted to judge it that way, then they would leave it as a top of the table format, like in the English PL. Having chosen the playoff format, I think it would be far more interesting for everyone if KT and STX played more games, and had to earn their spot in the finals in a pressure environment. Possibly seeing arguably the best broodwar player in the world only once in the whole proleague playoff season...it seems absurd. I like Kyuukyuu's idea where the top 2 get a bye through the first round. It's a good mix of reward for the top teams, and theatre for the spectators.
