They ditched dejavu at my house, stole some booze, trashed my computer. Deja now has to take a bus back to his place, and spend $100 on the ticket just to get home now. The bus takes 15 hours instead of a 6 hour drive. 2 of them ditched the lan center and did not pay, suppy had to pay for them. Sup?

What exactly happened here?
Two guys (Loudog and Semih) didn't pay at the LAN, and someone had to pay for them? Is that accurate? Something about the dinner too?
Pretty BM move lol

Mack ‘TAD[nnilf]’ Flinn, I will be telling you where you went horribly wrong with your leadership capabilities for running both a tournament and a team. Please understand, this is not to be condemning nor was this written with hatred. I understand you have already been banned, so if you ever read this post, then I hope you will learn from it.
First off, when you are holding not only your own team but as well as your sponsors who have entrusted you with their name and ability to reach into the community, you have to act 100% professionally. When I was the leader of Revoltados eSports ( www.rev-esports.com ) , I would instantly ban anyone for any poor manners, as well as disrespect for the team and the sponsors. I would reject anyone from joining the team, if they do not act professionally when they are around any eSports atmosphere. This includes their posts on any Starcraft website, any appearances to a live event, and even private messages to anyone. I had even banned a fellow friend of mine, who I had known for years for causing distress for other members.
You are not atop of a pedestal. When you are hosting a tournament in the Washington D.C. greater area where your sponsors are supporting your efforts to get the team’s name out there, and you deliberately steal from the community, what type of image are your sponsors getting? It makes them look retarded for picking such an incompetent team, who is only looking out for themselves. I will be surprised if the team is sponsored within the few weeks to come. So I hereby renounce my membership from ‘The American Dream’ as I refuse to have my name tainted with such a sour taste.
You and ‘Buckets’, of whom you have called, stole the $10+ from the PC Café, $22 from the Ill Mee Buffet restaurant for purposely not paying for your own food. Whoever had paid for you two, I hope good karma comes their way. You have chosen to purposely leave Deja 400 miles away from his hometown, who you graciously drove down to Northern Virginia. You trashed StorrZerg’s house, who allowed you to stay at his place free of charge. You ate his food, drank his alcohol, with only your ill heart in mind.
You complained when we spoke in person for being banned on TeamLiquid for your posts. However, you have to realize TeamLiquid is the largest, and most professional e-Sports website and community in the English Speaking world. Even someone with as little understanding on the idea of professionalism as yourself, should you find it obvious as to why you in this point in time are not a good match for this community. You lie, you steal, and you disrespect those who are happy to help another member of this community.
Until you learn to be gracious of other people and what they offer, I do not believe you are ready to lead a team, host a tournament, or be a part of this community. You have a long and hard road in front of you if you ever want to re-enter this community again. But first off, I hope you have fun trying to clear your own name from the sponsors who graciously gave you support for running ‘The American Dream’ as well as the tournament in the Greater Washington Area. Good luck, and hopefully in a few years you can persuade people to look the other way.

hahahaha, my teamliquid reputation is forever tainted.. whatever shall a man do? You must be joking if you think I stole from storrzerg or anyone for that matter as it is against my morales. Yes we left deja at storr's because he was a dick to us the entire weekend and didn't give kyle ANY gas money for driving 2 hours out of the way to pick him up. As far as professionalism goes, the LAN was run just fine and everyone was content with how it was run. The only "problems" that occurred happened after the LAN so I disband and "professionalism" after I walk out of the door. You all can think what you want it honestly won't affect my life at all or how I sleep tonight, in fact I find it quite funny. Since i'm banned or whatever according to chris, have a nice day everyone :D

Kid, there are 4 of you, its not that hard to stick a bottle in a bag and leave. I accused ALL 4 of you guys for these actions, since you guys are all apart of these recent terrible events.
As for my computer, Next time can you guys at least use cd's to burn music instead of dvds?
and then when you realize you guys fucked up, could you put the dvds in the trash instead of leaving them out on the lawn?

I had a ton of fun and definitely felt like this was a fun event as usual, as the people here are awesome. But some people who were there were the exact opposite of awesome.
I did not like MANY things that happened here.
First of all, the people here don't deserve to be shat on like this, and they are some of the coolest people around. I've been to probably about ten LANs now, and I've never met people who did things like this: 1. Someone didn't pay the entry fee (12 participants, only $220 prize) 2. Semih/Loudog did not pay the LAN center fee ($32) 3. nnilf and Buckets did not pay the dinner fee (?) ($44) 4. Dejavu was left behind 400 miles away and now has to not only pay $100 but take a 15 hour bus trip 5. Storrzerg, who opened his house to everyone, had booze stolen from him, crap downloaded onto his computer
At the LAN I definitely got the general impression that Semih and those people over on the far end of the center were very hostile and not cool. They acted as if they were "above all the nerds" there, which is completely immature (just as stranding someone 400 miles away from home is). Everyone else I've ever met in the SC community has been great in person, and I am surprised that some people would actually pull off this kind of shit.
The people in this area are some of the coolest people I've ever met, and for people to drive in and literally troll in real life... I don't even know what to say. Please guys, at the WCG USA Finals, be prepared for some huge douchebaggery so you guys don't get victimized either by these assholes.

Stealing is against your morality, but leaving someone 400 miles away from home and making them drop $100 (and spend 15 hours to get there) isn't? Perhaps you should have asked him for gas money- you know, like any person with decency would attempt. And even if for whatever reason he rejected, you being such an extraordinary beacon of morality could have been the bigger man and just given him a ride.
Also, if you didn't pay for the LAN center or for the food at the buffet, it's not too far-fetched to think you'd steal from Storr as well. Not to mention there was $20 less in the tournament pot than there should have been with 12 players paying entry fees.
I'm guessing your objective was to come to DC and not spend a dime, and for that, at least you've accomplished one of your goals.
|
nnilf, since he hosted the tournament, he did not have to pay an entry fee btw
also if stealing is against your morality then what about ditching dinner and not paying? is this not stealing?

he raped the first two games playing completely standard and even using pure wraiths. then he went protoss, forgot storm, then a glitch occured and let zerglings hit a marine inside the minerals, and lastly, he cancled rax opting for a 14cc thinking he saw 12hatch, but really it was a 12pool, and he only had 1 marine inside the bunker when 10lings came.
series of unfortunate events. he lasted extremely long in all games considering such disadvantages.

nnilf by tainting your reputation on TL you can be sure that sponsors will hear about this, you want to run a pro-clan? need sponsors for that and after this you might have burned alot of bridges
|
I sure haven't heard much from the other side of the story though. Maybe it was just a series of bad coincidences? What did dejavu do that was so bad? What really happened to the money that was not paid when it should have been? Either there was terribly bad luck that day, or someone owes a lot of people some apologies.
|
He didn't really host it, all he did was post a time and place on the forums and everyone else decided to show up. Hosting means he would have been financially involved in finding a place for everyone to play (such as him paying a fee so that there would be a group rate.)
The only thing he really did do was manage a sponsorship with a computer for a prize, and for that reason alone I'm sure the $20 can be forgiven. However, aside from the fact that there were very few players and every person counts, you can't not pay your entry fee and be qualified to win your own prizes if you're a "host," typically.
That's just my opinion though, but its one of the smaller issues involved. More concerned about stranding someone and all the money that wasn't paid for LAN/food.

Can we get an update on what really happened here? Basically 2 guys ditched on LAN fees, 3 guys ditched on dinner and left someone (possibly justifiably) stranded? What about stealing alcohol? Downloading porn?

Yeah, I've really tryed to make sense of all this, but every claim seem like one person's word against another's.
