If those mutas came out a couple of seconds later, it would've been a different story IMO Yeah it's very hard to know when to stop making lings for mutas. Sometimes you delay mutas for lings and you completely crush your opponent leaving them with 2 drones by the time their mutas pop. And sometimes the mutas pop in time and your lings all get owned by mutas, leaving your opponent with a huge head start on muta production. Even the pros can't even tell sometimes.

If those mutas came out a couple of seconds later, it would've been a different story IMO Hydra lost because he did not defend Modesty's initial zergling attack correctly, and was thus forced to compensate by making additional zerglings. He then tried to overling and kill Modesty before mutalisks, but hesitated before trying to break out. His break-out was not at all cost-efficient, while Modesty did a great job to delay and weaken Hydra's numbers. At this point, Hydra had three mutalisks + scourge making, while Modesty had five + scourge (larva advantage). Hydra promptly ate two scourge, making the resulting air battle something I could've won.
