I had a friend in china and he told me he got the information to bypass the censorship from this wiki page. http://en.cship.org/wiki/Main_Page . Maybe it can help you if it's not blocked already.

SSH is NOT the way to go. It's much easier to set up an apache server in the states with the following lines:
/* * proxy.php */
<?php $url = $_GET['url']; fpassthru(fopen($url,rb)); ?>
Then direct your browser to "mydomain.com/proxy.php?url=myurl.com" ezpz.
The problem with SSH, is that it's fucking laggy as hell, which for pageloading is ok, but for clicking buttons on firefox or trying to type URLs into address bars or forms, is terrible terrible terrible.
Edit: this actually doesn't work with embedded stuff. :p

I was actually thinking of making a blog guide of tunneling and such. But here's a quick preview to help you out.
Ok I assume you're running windows so download a program called PuTTy and under Host Name put a host from a server located in the US, or basically anywhere outside China for that matter (along with the correct port number) and check SSH. Then go to Connection tab -> SSH -> Tunneling under Source Port put something along the lines of 8080 (or a port you know isn't in use), check Dynamic and leave Auto checked also. Then click open.
Next open up Firefox and go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings and click Manual Proxy configurations. under SOCKS Host put 127.0.0.1 under port 8080 (or whatever port you designated). Click ok and you've set up your first SSH tunnel
If you're running a linux box then just type:
ssh [>Host Name<] -D 8080
Like I said as of right now I'm planning on writing a much more comprehensive Guide for tunneling and firewall evasion so be looking out for that.
