What are you smoking? For the past like 10 years, exchange rate from USD to Won has been around 1 USD for 1000~1400 Won. Know your currency before posting garbage... You can google "USD to Won conversion" and find 1 : 1136 or something today. Using that rate, 3 million won is equal to 2640 USD.
Not only that but the math in his post isn't right either.

So yeah, you can respect Savior for winning some games in the past, but you can't respect him as a pro-gamer anymore. Now this I can agree with. I never even liked the guy- I'm just playing devil's advocate because since his fall from grace, a lot of accusations have been thrown at him, and some (but not all) of those I consider unfair. A thief isn't automatically also a rapist, murderer and a child molester, so to say. "just playing devil's advocate" = trolling please stop. My intention was to defend a man everyone is ganging up on, not trolling. But since you view it as such, I'll stop.
to choose an obviously erratic fan and try to make your point with them when you're not actually emotionally invested in the topic is definitely trolling

Well, since progamming is such and hard job overall, playing like 24/7 with almost no salary, I understand them in some way...
But damn savior? cheating to live life to the fullest IS OK or at least understandable, but cheating to buy such ugly type of clothes... I mean seriously, the guy is not a baller, just a moron.
Yellow is the baller of the starcraft scene, savior is the pimp.

Rough Summary.
http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=106823&db=issue&cate=&page=1&field=&kwrd=
Out of the 16 people (11 progamers, 3 brokers, 2 "civilians"), 1 of them have been arrested, 6 of them have been indicted without detention, 7 of them have been charged with a "summary offense" (probably minor charges, involving fees)
Those indicted with or without detention will go through a criminal trial. This involves Savior and Justin.
Those charged with summary offense will go through an informal trial, and it'll likely involve fees of 2~5 million won and confiscation of all proceeds they have made.
Mr Kim, in the military, will go through a military trial.
----
Anyway, a few more notes.
1) Don't think the amounts they stated is accurate. They have likely accepted much, much, more and did this a lot more often. KeSPA and everyone released only a small portion so that the entire eSports business doesn't collapse overnight. 2) There are definitely more games, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more progamers involved that are simply covered up.
Also there's some speculation about Hite/CJ disbanding as a team (Makes sense for Hite I guess), since you know, korean corporations wont enjoy this.

O hey, our reactions are being read by netizens http://www.gasengi.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=sports&wr_id=4419
EDIT: What a waste though, instead of going to jail, they should just be forced to be practice partners for Kangmin for 6 months, with a reduced jail sentence if Kangmin qualifies for both starleagues ^^

whats next... steroids for progamers to multitask better?

Both twins involved... So bad... I applaud Type-B for admitting his mistake. Still hate what he did but at least he apologized and I expect he will get the least amount of "punishment" for his involvement.

Indeed, so sad to see this happening not long ago I posted something about progamers not having anything to do with this lame situation, but things keep coming out and well now its hard for me to believe what I though at the very begining, anyways I still believe these kids are not as guilty as News suggest, in my opinion these kids are also victims, clearly they were corrupted and we dont even know if they were forced to do it, hope things end up not being so hard for these kids.

I think people are overlooking that they did not say ACE
cus any progamer serving in the air force right now named kim is a likely candidate
I mean DE was on the B-team of CJ for a long time and didn't play much. Military pretty much keeps a tight leash on anyone including gamers.
The games i've seen DE play has been pretty good actaully

I'm no expert on how much money is floating around in eSports, but does it seem plausible to anyone else that part of the problem is that a disproportionately low proportion of it is going to the players? If the pay scheme is slightly exploitative, it makes sense that this stuff would be a problem. Not saying there wouldn't be corruption anyways, but in those kinds of conditions if the pay is shit people are much much less likely to stick by their principles.
Savior though disgusts me. He had accomplished success and fortune beyond the wildest dreams of basically anyone who ever wanted to go pro and he still made that selfish of a decision? Really Savior?

As a fan I'd like to believe Type-B is genuinely sorry for what he did and regrets his actions, not just because he was caught. Of course I see your point that they can be done selfishly and an apology doesn't necessarily mean he is actually sorry, it could just be to save face. However a sign of regret is an apology so it is still a good thing.

Agreed. I can't even understand my own comment. Especially the last line "One can hardly ○ ○ sinners Kids Spa's team gave a lot of chances."

I'm not sure I'll ever understand how you could make money having players like type-b and justin throw games. Consistent starleague players like Hwasin definitely, but who in the hell is betting on these guys to win at anything resembling even odds in the first place?

I don't that you get it:
1. Player A has a match vs. Horang2 2. Player A is approached with the opportunity to make some cash 3. Player A bets against himself 4. The day of the match approaches 5. Player A purposely makes mistakes that he would not make 6. Player A loses 7. Player A wins money
That's how i think it goes.
