I admit it looks slightly silly now, but when the scandal was first confirmed, many people had similar feelings as (or at least could sympathize with) the commentators. I did. Yes, from the gamers' perspectives it made quite a lot of sense to blow off their loyalty to their house, fans etc. for some much wanted/needed dough. But from the perspective of the fanbase and that of the commentators, the potential impact on esports was very scary. I mean it was quite a huge blow to us. If you look back at all the posts about it you can see a great Kubler-Ross model that everyone went through lol. | ||

These guys "work" 10+ hours a day and are put under extreme pressure in front of camera's. If by comparison they would have played poker instead of SC, they probably wouldn't have had to work another day in their life. Even if they would play 10 hours a day while breaking even, they would probably earn more from rakeback alone. These guys are extremely intelligent and discplined. Nonetheless, not a reason to cheat though. | ||

Yeah this was 1 of the matches. Back then Taekbangleessang don't do it because they were paid very well. The ones who did them are not S class and paid miserable prolly less than 3 grand. Especially Savior drop from big wealth status to being paid peanuts. | ||
