There was very high wind speeds at the time. The blowing ice was enough to cut off a lot of peoples power, the power was out at our house for 2 hours, the power was off at my friends place for 4 hours. There were a lot of traffic lights without power, I saw a lot of tree branches (big ones) that broke off of trees. Also a few rail crossing arms snapped from the ice/wind as well.

FOR FUCKS SAKE CALGARY WTF I wake up and look out my window and see MORE fucking snow ... it wasn't like this last year and this is my 2nd year in Calgary, so does this happen often or is this year just completely messed up?

Every year usually has messed up days. I believe Calgary has had snow in every month, yes, even in July, but it's not every year.

April 2, 2011 ... at least 20 cm of snow. Cleared out half my driveway and I'm out of breath and think I'm going to die lol, dinner and clearing out the other half ...
