Because before we could just extract the gamestrings.txt file to the sc2 folder and modity it directly but now it seems for me this way doesnt work and the only one which works atm is to use the tilers tool, load mpq, make modifications and then save mpq would like to know that too. want my grid but T as attack just sucks

Tiler's tool modifies the "standard" setting of hotkeys, if you switch to some other settings inside the bnet menu you should be able to use the Blizzard-defined hotkeys (now, if these don't work, maybe you should post on the official forums?) If you want to use custom hotkeys, make sure you use the standard setting in the Hotkeys panel... I'd really love to optimize my hotkeys, especially since the removal of cast on wireframe, but I don't want to do anything if it isn't officially and explicitly allowed to do so.

What's new: - fixed all buttons positions - replaced 3 icons (zerg upgrades) - added 2 new Terran's buttons (Halt, CancelBuilding) - [Video options] still on beta stage. At the moment it just shows your current video options @All peoples: If you find a bug or something don't work please make a video or write in detail what you did. And once again: i can not check the work of my tool online, I use the loader for my tests and for me all works fine! PS: more features as soon as possible.

I'd really love to optimize my hotkeys, especially since the removal of cast on wireframe, but I don't want to do anything if it isn't officially and explicitly allowed to do so. Last time I formally asked Blizzard on the legality of using some artwork in the fansite kit (for a soon-to-be registered corporation) I did not get any answer... You really think they will ask their lawyers to see if modifying their files for such use should be an exception to the EULA? Of course not, they don't want you to change any of their files, period. As for being banned, well, I don't think Blizzard will scan the hash values of all their files whenever the game starts, because that's the only way I can see for them to detect the changes that were done. I open from mpq, and then save from mpq but it doesn't work. It reads: GameHotkeys.txt enGB etc etc. When in the file it's GameStrings... I guess the problem comes from here. I'd like to do it manually and modify the gamestring.txt thingy by myself but I just can't open it with the tool. I can only open directly from the mpq.

For advanced players, they can even open a textfile and edit each individual hotkey.

This would sound good enough if it would work with just putting the file outside of the .mpq, but this doesn't work with the latest patch, does it?

So yeah: if you wanna use that tool, select the "standard" hotkey or it just won't work. And if you wanna use a forum successfully, read all the post before posting some stupid question like I just dit ...

autohotkey for example, allow u to remap UR keybord hotkeys, everytime u put A on ur keyboard, it will put T ingame i use this tool for some system related key bindings, awesome tool with great tutorial and many opportunitiys, remaping keys being the easiest and most unspectecular i found T very strange at the beginning, but get used to it, as it always is with new games and keys. iam perfectly fine with grid keys now the only problem i had were the warpgates, german tasta layout + enGB sc2 version = everytime u press Y(and have warpgates on the field) it select them istead of casting the spell(feedback chrono forcef) just changed my tasta layout to EN and am perfectly fine right now
