Well, I've been playing SC2 since around the 3rd opt-in invites and at first, I felt like I was having a lot of trouble with the game. Not only was I forced to use my brother's gear (my computer can barely run sc2 so I have to use his computer if I ever feel like playing competitively), but overall, the game felt much faster paced and I was just uncomfortable playing for the first couple of weeks. Now that the huge anticipation I had for SC2 has been satisfied (probably like 100 games or so), I decided to go back to BW.
My first game surprised the hell out of me. I had hit 242 APM with 190 EAPM which are numbers I've never been close to. My APM before usually ranges from 160-200 with EAPM at around 140-160 depending on the MU but an 80-40 rise in APM seems a bit ridiculous to me since I was stuck at the 160-200 range for the past year.
So anyways, I'm wondering has anyone else found a rise in their APM in BW after playing a bit of SC2?
Summary:My APM rose a hell of a lot after a couple weeks in SC2. What about you?

Basically if you want to see an apm difference or a D level game lol.

any time i go back to bw after having played sc2 i am like 20 apm slower than usual
|
it's probably increased because you can spend alot more time clicking things around since you dont need to change screens as much cause of mbs and automining and things, and if you're just able to spam click while using hotkeys without having to shift screens this will significantly increase your apm

Much lower for me. My APM was around 180-220 depending on the matchup in BW, but it's like..110 or something when i watch replays of myself. I guess because a lot of my BW actions went into macroing an army, but it's extremely easy to do that in sc2 and takes way less actions so those actions are just gone.

Pics or it didn't happen. Seriously, 190 EAPM? Doubtful.
I guess APM increase is possible after playing SC2 but I see no real reason for it to occur.

It feels really weird switching between the two because hotkeys are so easy to mix up ie hitting v for overlord in bw and then getting ovie capped because it never made.

i noticed mine was a bit higher too but my macro was a lot worse. So i guess sc2 makes me spam more.

How much starcraft 2 have you been playing?

My apm has increased from around 180-220 (not EAPM) in Bw, but I find it very difficult to play BW now because I am getting adjusted to everything in SC2.

Not sure if my APM increased or not, but i notice I macro much better now but my micro seemed to get worse.

OP: Maybe sc2 is just causing you to spam more. There is absolutely no need for more then like 100 apm in sc2 because there simply isnt very much to do, alos, since people now use less control groups (1-3 compared to 3-5+ in bw) this cuts down the apm pretty hard. Anyone who has above like 150 apm in sc2 is seriously spamming their little hearts out
