I think it should have been opened up to at LEAST 8 teams, to give some lesser known players who mgith have the skill, to build a name for themselves. I understand you donated the money out of your own pockets and that's fine you can dow hat you want, but if the point is to see "high level" gaming, you chose (some) of the wrong teams. How is any new team supposed to make a rep for themselves, if they consistently get overlooked? Good luck to everyone, my post was not meant to start an argument or anything, but I cannot help but feel others are thinking the same way.

Hell Have all the games in one day, then the finals the next day, what's wrong with that? Basically what this is, is you paying 500 dollars, to obs some of the more "known" players, for your own pleasure. If it were truely intended to be a community event, the slots would not have been so limited.

Seems that they purely got in on name recognition. What have these players won in SC2 tournaments or show matches? In the ladder other players have been consistently above them. Even so will probably be a big event That's what I'm saying, this is not skill based, it's "who has the most fans and will give us the most attention" based.

Anyway, team lineup looks good to me, I'm excited to watch this. Should be fun. It's kind of a disapointment whent he same teams get to play eachother over and over, sure the games might be of good quality, but from an observing point of view, it makes for a very stagnant and monotonous scene, watching the same people play eachother over and over. I don't think this is necessarily true. The best players play the best games and it's fun to watch them. I'm sure there are tons of undiscovered greats out there who will be fun to watch at some point in the future, and hopefully the massive number of SC2 tournaments happening will help the less recognized players show off their skills.

When that player loses, the team picks a new player and so on. When all of your players have been defeated, your team is defeated.

Yeah no prize money but w.e it has an open field of 24 teams so far. I really wish they would just invite the top 4 teams from mine or something. Triple Strike Team Cup 2 Uh, because people fucking complain about everything because they're all filled with this pretentious sense of entitlement to everything. Seriously, people donate their own time, money, and effort into doing things for the community. The people who host stuff can do whatever the fuck they want. :p ESPECIALLY because these are just amateur tournaments that are either unfunded or privately funded.

I dont think it was meant to smuft but rather to the ppl complaining about this only being a 4 team tournament while there is one more tournament just after this one for 24 teams.

I wanted to reply to this specifically. vT played against EG in a friendly showmatch (they asked for a competitor) in the first CW ever on SC2; it was casted and streamed. Our team beat their team 3-2. I only mention this as a reply to the comment, not to shittalk EG, I have the utmost respect for all of their members and they are pillars of the community. My point is no one really remembers or cares. We tried to get our name out there to prove we are worthy of competing with the top teams, but it doesn't seem to matter to most people. In any of our streamed matches we plug the team, and many members have done well in individual competition. I think the above point is somewhat invalid because of Root as I said basically performing above the aforementioned team in both individual tournaments and team tournaments. Again, I can't really complain much about my own team because we were ducked out of Triple Strike #1 by losing to Root in the round of 8, but saying "Get out there and prove yourself" is invalid in this case, because many of these teams have been.
