Totheark is perhaps a servant of slender man, or a way for the slenderman to communicate?

Totheark may be Tim, but because of the video "Return" I think it's unlikely.

It might be possible the darkened shadows around J's symbolize a deeper connection with totheark because in the video in which we see the masked person thought to be totheark, the person's eyes are heavily darkened. In this video J is incapacitated, much like Alex was (this only fits if Alex is in fact totheark)

It seems like the masked man is an accomplice of slenderman, while totheark is giving information to Jay that was taken out of the tapes. It also seems Totheark is helping Jay by distracting Slenderman in the video to me.

idk, it's all very confusing.

My general theory is that Alex was visited by Slenderman when he was a child. This is why in Entry 22 he says "I thought I could run away, now it's gotten worse." when he came to shoot marble hornets here, he found Slenderman again who he originally forgot about. after being stalked by slenderman he regained his childhood memories and became extremely paranoid about it. This is why he was searchin for Slenderman in a playground in Entry 4.

Tim is the masked man, a servant controlled by slenderman. Tim doesn't want to be controlled by slenderman which is why he has a seizure in episode 19. he doesn't want Jay to know his true identity obviously.

Totheark is a third party leading/guiding Jay. He does appear to be angry with Jay/the world as he says things like "You've been keeping secrets" "Smile for the camera" "Smile for death" but at the same time has helped Jay by leading him to the location of Alex's hidden video tape etc.

Maybe Totheark is Tim when he is managing to resist slendermans control?

It's all very confusing haha

Notice the significance of burning trees in this sidestory and that in, I believe the 20th entry, there is a painting of burning trees that Alex fiddles with and puts up against the wall.

was into it this for a while.

but after the realization that it's a really a incoherently ambiguous story that
gives the feeling of improvisation, like a david lynch film

i really gave it a shot but the story is just too improvized, without
any analytical backbone.
