Well..just watched this movie. Got to admit, I didn't expect much other than a cheap comedy..boy in my mind did I feel pleasantly surprised.
First off, the idea behind this movie is really neat. What it truly made me realize is that as humans, we really don't want people to be 100% honest with us, we like things somewhat sugar coated. Obviously, this is how we grew up and have learned to live, but still a really interesting idea.
The movie *in my opinion* was original, fun, loving, and very enjoyable. If you haven't seen the movie, I highly suggest watching it. The actors in the movie are some really funny, enjoyable guys. You have got Ricky Gervais, who is a great old Brit and really an all around solid actor (again my opinion). Then you have Jennifer Garner who generally isn't that great, but I thought she played this part really, really well. Let's be frank, anything with Jonah Hill in it is pretty awesome simply because of his past movies you just get a small giggle every time.
Anyways, I won't elaborate into the movie, it's storyline, and description of characters. I just wanted to suggest to any of you that have a couple extra bucks and some free time to go see this, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Much love- Kenny

My brother saw it and said it was awful. It wasn't just about not lying, it was about telling people things about yourself that they didn't ask you about.
I imagine the whole movie is filled with people talking out loud about a little cold they had 2 weeks ago, or forgetting to take out the garbage.

This is pretty accurate. I saw it and really didn't enjoy any of the truthful comments that were supposed to be funny. Ricky Gervais did a nice job but other than that I really didn't enjoy it at all.

I liked the movie saying it was people talking about forgetting to take out the garbage is completely inaccurate, also hello fucking edward norton in this movie.

I watched this movie at friend's apartment (laptop hooked up to TV) with some friends and everyone thought it was pretty bad... The storyline is pretty unbelievable and cheesy but at least it was... unique. It has more WTF moments than funny moments and the humor is pretty juvenile. In regards to expectations, I saw no trailers.

I wasnt really a fan of this one. Everyone DID say things that were completely unnecessary which made the whole premise a a bit dumb. The movie also ended up being a huge stab at christianity, which doesnt bother me as I'm atheist, but got in the way of the movie itself. It also wasnt very funny.
