So the Liquidbet season is over!
And guess what? So is my challenge against Quickstriker!
So from the 916 & 917 spot at the start of the liquidbet season, both of us sailed up to the top rankings early of the season, taking the challenge quite seriously. However, Quickstriker took a firm lead early on, claming the top 10 spot of Liquidbet early on, and held it for a long time. He was quite sure he had a good grip of the challenge victory, not noticing me quite close by in the top 50. He even stated his joy in this blog post, but the victory did not last long. We all know and have experienced the drastic final moments of the Liquidbets, how semifinals and finals massive points shake the foundations of our top ranking spot. Quickstriker and me both fell quite hard during the end of this season. Me hanging on in the top 300 while Quickstriker bumped back and forth in the top 100. He had a firm lead of 7 points, when 1 bet remained, Flash vs Jaedong - Nate MSL Finals (worth 8 points). Now the former games Flash played (OSL finals and the MSL semis) I auto betted quite quickly on Flash once the bets came up. Those showed to be quite easy. However this match, this one match: Flash vs Jaedong, I decided to wait until the night before. I sent Quickstriker a PM trying to ask him to reveal what he had betted, so I would gamble and bet the opposite. But Quickstrikers mysterious answer drove me mad: "Maybe.... maybe not... that I do not wish to openly and willing reveal to everyone, especially you, my fellow challenger."
The obvious bet would have been Flash. As someone stated, whoever betted Jaedong, betted only to get a jump on Liquidbet incase he won. You might call it that, I however, had to check my gut feeling. This night, my gut had a strong feeling on Jaedong winning. Also based on the poor preformance and bad luck I've felt that Flash's had on Match Point (his loss against Hyun, Zero and TvT 22 game streak break against Really) I went all in on Jaedong that night. After a night of bumpy sleep, I woke up ready for game 1, boy was I pumped. Jaedong winning which such ease. Did it get any better! When Game 2 was on, and Flashs dropships invaded Jaedong matrix-style, Quickstrikers words aced in my head "Maybe.... Maybe not..." I begged God to make Jaedong win this. And game 3, back and forth, what an exiting game!!!! And poooffff magic and black screen. Roffles shows his big WTF and everybody scratches their head. After lots of korean words, the right side of the audience cheers. "Jaedong? lol? he won that? cool, doest seem that fair, but cool" Game 4 is such a onesided bash, that I cried when I watched it. Poor Flash, Poor Quickstriker. Thank you Jaedong!!! Thank you Kespa!!! Thank you God!

All that remains is the penalty for looser.
- What will the looser have to do?
- Post a picture of himself holding a sign saying: <Winner> owned me?
- Looser asks for ban for 2 weeks?
- Out themselves as homosexuals in the general forums, with no refference to this bet?
- Post a unglam picture of himself?
- Post a picture of himself in a bikini?
- Post a video of himself going sober to a random chick saying: "I'm a nerd and I LOOOOOVE starcraft"?
- Gets their TL location changed to noobville?
I've allways thought of this moment, for a long long time. At one time I feared the liquidbet was about to end, since Quickstriker mentioned it (smart tactic), and I betted against logic in all desperation (at the end of SPL round 1) and lost several points in vain! And I've allways imagined Quickstrikers evil grin on his face laughing while watching the tape of me admitting defeat. But, now the tables turn, In the last moment of truth. I guess I go back to that moment, feeling what Jaedong felt, when he heard his name from the commentators. "This does not feel cool" I feel Flashs frustration, as I feel Quickstrikers frustration in the same moment. My friend, the challenge is over. I had a relief when Jaedong won, because I was quite sure that you would have doomed me into punishment.
Finally, I've decided:

I will let you live. Forget this challenge, there is no punishment.
