What do you think I should buy and why?
Poll: Which is the better handheld? (Vote): Nintendo DSI (Vote): PSP 3k
I have 200 dollars waiting to be spent. I know the psp is selling like hotcakes in japan because of KH:BBS(Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep) but the ds is a great system too.
edit: I did not add the psp go because it's not worth it.

I dunno I'd get PSP anytime, but DSi has so much more variety of games (OSU ZOMG)

psp has more good western games and dsi has more good japanese games. I guess its just your preference from there.
(although actually PSP has a few good japanese games too such as lumines (best PSP game ever) and mgs peacewalker which is about to come out)

Well at least you can play gameboy games on your PSP

Sony patented a new design for a PSP 2 years ago. There are loads of rumors for a PSP2 coming out this year. Infact i think it was leaked , their plan or something. But I am pretty sure either a new psp model or PSP2 coming.

Wasn't that the psp go that has failed so miserably?

I think I'd only get the PSP for Dissidia but other than that I'd prefer the DS
Really it all boils down to which games you want more from either system. CHOOSE WISELY!

nah, its a whole new concept. I dont remember where I saw the article but all I know is that they are using a new chip that has the power exceeding PS2 graphic engine.

Well it seems like the psp has picked up where it was faltering:it's game library. There are games like Resistance, God of War, FF Crisis Core for the Psp. There are upcoming games like FFXII Agito and MSGPW(Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker) as well Dante's Inferno coming up.
Of course, the Ds has never failed in delivering great games but this year doesn't look like it will be as strong as the psp because the most anticipated games are Golden Sun Ds and Pokemon.
Those are great games but still.....

A modded PSP is the most versatile and fun general gaming system ever, and if you are a sony fan you should definetly go with it. + even if you are a hardcore nintendo fan you can uses SNES/GBA/GBC roms at any time. PSP is a fantastic system and you cant go wrong with it + its going to save you money in the long run. The emulators + running PSX games is a great advantage, PSP has a lot of great gems too like Lumines which is a fantastic game.
I cant really say much about the DS, my Bro got a DS which got broken in a week. If you want a portable handleheld PSP is probably your best choice.
If you are a FF/MGS fan than PSP is by far the best choice, you can play MGS1 + every FF before 10 on the PSP. + FFT/ Crisis Core + MGSO are fantastic games. MGA is hit and miss, you might like it or you might hate it, but its a decent game for what it is, its not canon either(MGSPO and PW are canon though). I've never been much a fan of GoW but I appreciate that its a good game and that many people like it, the PSP version is fine too. If you are a fighter fan then PSP is going to be pretty darn sweet if your friend is a fighter fan with a PSP too, Guilty Gear + Tekken 5/6 + Soul Calibur ports on the PSP are great and fantastic 2 player, although their single player modes are lacking when discussing SC4 + T6. Overall is the fantastic system, what you should be asking, do you want to play Nintendo's refurbished franchise over and over again buying them for every small update over a better game library + the ability to play older versions of Nintendo games. If you arent a hardcore Nintendo fan then PSP is the way to go.

I don't think you should get either and just upgrade your PC. If you do decide on something, get a touch! or just get the PSP coz its awesome
