2. Shouldn't work the same muscle groups 2 days in a row. Stick to pillar lifts like bench, squat and clean but shake up the peripheral lifts to keep the muscle development static and continuous. | ||

Also incorporate deadlifts into your routine and alternate between deadlifts and squats because it can be quite heavy to do both on the same day. For heavier exercises try going up around 10 lbs when you feel that you can lift more. | ||

To address the question especially when you're starting you should probably just lift each body part once per week. To vary your routine throw in drop sets and super sets and be sure to use different exercises frequently for the same body part. | ||

But, if you build a routine, and by the end of your sets, you feel like you could do more, do more, and then up the weight a bit next time. 2 - To jolt your muscles, do a variety of different exercises. Also, don't shy from exercises that work multiple groups of muscles. I'm a fan of the bus driver clean, and power snatches for working most of the body. | ||
