Though that's not all there's to it afaik. There has to be some personal relationship too, because pretty much everyone in the Starcraft Pro Scene is older than Flash, yet he doesn't always use the term "hyung". Only when he's talking about people he's close with I think.

He knows as well as any of us that he's the favourite for this OSL.

Flash is so modest. A "modest monster". I agree, there is 50% of chance of a clean sweep. Unless they put twice HBR which is quite tough for TvP and for TvZ. Anyway, go Flash!!!

For EX, Flash calls both Stork and Jaedong Hyung However he still calls bisu "Kim Taek Yong Sunsu (player)" because he doesn't know Bisu personally. ---- On January 02 2010 02:45 majesty.k)seRapH wrote: they were his odds. translates into 30% coming out alive. but the 50:50 thing i think flash meant he might drop[ a game. so 50% chane of 3-0, 37.5% 3-1, 12.5% 3-2. flash couldnt lose this osl Yes, Koreans have a tendency to use this expression alot. And about the 50% chance thing. Flash believes he has a 50% chance to WIN the OSL (ie a Coinflip). Alot of you guys are probably saying he's lying or he's just being modest, but the guy is dead serious. If you read the next part he firmly says he doesn't want to be greedy and fall over. As a flash fanbase you guys should know this (hell even as a KT Fanbase)! All of you should know if flash trips once he rolls down until the base of the mountain. This has always been an issue for Flash for like 5 seasons of OSL Don't say "well hez on fire dis shudn't aply lawl." He's being as careful as possible so he doesn't repeat that whole shit again. Both his opponents are rookies, and even though rookies lack experience flash has always said "nothing is scarier than a rising star." Hell even Flash himself was a rookie

It's like he knew where the mutas were going to pop and acted accordingly.

Basically hyung technically means older brother and its used only when you are a male and know an older male personally. It's more of a friendly honorific if that makes any sense >.< Hyung, noona, oppa, unni are all the same kind of friendly honorific but used depending on your sex and the sex of the older person.

this is either humility to the extreme.... I think all of us would say 90-10 Flash at the least.
