I wasn't able to play during the night because of the preparations for 12mn, and I managed to play around 12:45, when most of my neighbors have exhausted their fireworks.
I checked Garena, some of the regulars were still there, but I couldn't get games so I played over at iCCup. Well connection was better and most of the games had one green bar. Some things never change, most people still play over at Python, I chose to play over at Destination. I like the new iCCup feature where they put the country code/abbreviation/whatever you call it, and as usual, I was playing against a Korean.
I had an abysmal game. It was PvZ, he was at top. I managed to scout him twice to see him get 3 hatcheries, a spire, then a hydra den. My corsair showed me that he had intentions of hydra breaking or massing a ground army because he had 2 evo chambers, and he had a third base to support it. With my macro and timing a bit off, my initial +1 speedlot guerrilla attack found his expo at 2 which had two sunkens. I managed to take out the two sunkens and pick of some drones before hydras raped my zealots. I got storm after and pushed out. Well one thing I know I went wrong was that I didn't have Archons, I had a zeal-temp army. I managed to storm his hydra army to oblivion but due to the lack of back up and the lack of a third base, I had a hard time adding goons to repel his pure muta army, I also ran out of storms, it was gg after.
Well I lost my general sense of the game as I was dumbfounded on how to react after seeing that he was massing hydras. I don't know if I'll be posting the replay but there's no need for that, this isn't the strategy section and I'm just venting out.
Oh yeah, I decided to play again because I remembered that there's a lan tournament this month. I want to go but of course, I don't want to make a fool of myself there.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to relearn the game all over again. The good thing about iCCup though is that I rarely see my progress. Due to the high playing level there, I'm forced to do better and when I go back here, I'd be beating half of the guys in here. Happy New Year Guys.
