I think most people will want current maps, such as HBR, Desti, Match point, etc etc Well, wouldn't it be easier for people to improve if they're using maps like Python or Destination, since those maps are played a lot on iCCup? They should have like Python and other common maps in the map pool along with like Fighting Spirit or some of the newer maps, so there is a balance. Python should be in it, since its pretty simple, so people could work on macro and stuff like that, instead of overcomplicating things with like strategies that don't work on all maps.

Maybe I can get a high ranked player for a co-coach? I really like teaching players and I think my game knowledge should be good enough to help anyone D- to C- pretty well. Hey no one commented on this. Does it seem like a possibility I can get a high ranked player to be a co-coach? I don't want to hinder a team just because I'm not a super high level. At the same time though I thinking having a coach/helper at a level closer to the players could help a lot for practice games.

No, I mean, that's the point. Strategies that work on python don't work on newer maps. The difficult to take third means that 2base/1base strategies are heavily encouraged, which is the opposite of modern maps. It's very difficult to FE as P in pvz due to the wide nat. The ability to slowpush also makes tvp/pvt very different. Python probably will wind up making it in, and it's played really frequently, but it's out of date for any matchup but mirror matchups by a few years. There are people who are really good on python and terrible on other maps.

For example, the maps could be like: Python Destination Fighting Spirit Match Point Moon Glaive So that people can learn to use 2base/1base strategies and also learn to do more modern strategy. If we only use new maps, it will probably be really tough for people to learn, because there could be like many possibilities, since the newer maps are a lot more complex than the older ones.

It lends itself to early agression a bit too much since the rush distance is so short, and the quality of the games is rarely satisfying. That's just imo, but still... Helping people improve is more important than deciding whether the game was satisfying or not.
