fock me! keep getting up to like 4950 then losing games, ZARGHHHHHHHHHH!!
General problems:
- dealing with harass / high pressure builds - big battle micro (i lose more units than I should) - mobility
MU specific problems:
PvP - when do I cut probes? - expansion timing - micro
PvT - grouping units correctly - attack patterns (I.E, send goons first then run zealots in) - why am I not getting reavers ever lately? - stopping an early 100ish push after I've double expod (something wrong with my gateway / probe / unit # timing)
PvZ - utilizing storms better - harass more - be more careful not to get observers sniped - protect expansions better
those are general problems I've noted in my play. i don't know why i'm writing an of this, kind of just my own mental notes of things i hope i can improve upon.
tbh i think if i can get marginally better in all these areas b- should be np.
i hope to be C+ by the end of the week, i'll keep streaming mah practice... you can watch like ~10 hours of laddering on my livestream on demand, feel free to check out some games and possibly see how i arrived at these conclusions! =P
other quick notes:
i feel really confident about pvz lately, probably my best matchup, i think i have timings down very solid... although i'm weak vs a player who has extremely strong muta harass/micro...
my pvp just fluctuates and it's frustrating, my pvt is sorta bleh, i feel like if it's just a macro game i'm really strong but pressure vs me is just shitty...

I can't really contribute anything substantial since I'm less than D+, but good luck getting to C+! Tell us if you do! =)

I usually get reaver first before I expand because its good for harass and for defense as well. Getting the reaver this early also gives you a timing window where you can attack your opponent if he expanded before his reaver.

You cut probes by scouting your opponent. Early game you should be able to tell easily.
ie. he gets a very fast expansion and you think you can punish him for it (because maybe you have more tech or gates), you cut probes to maximize your army for a period of time.
Late game is about supply cap. If you constantly pumped probes and you are about equal to him in army size, you need to stop making probes. If you don't and he does, his army will be bigger every time you fight. On certain maps like Destination it's easier since once you have your third for some time time you won't be expoing like crazy because the map design allows fast probes transfer from one base to another and doesnt allow you to take the map fast.
On maps like Collo or Andromeda is harder.
I think army positioning is way more important than attack patterns or grouping. Your biggest concerns when engaging PvT should be where your army is standing relative to his and when to issue the 1a2a3a4a. Have an observer and try to engage as he unsieges to moves forward to maximize the time you can run in without getting shot. If you send everything at the same time and in mixed groups, zealots with legs should run in first and trigger mines + tank the tank shells. The only issue is getting your zealots stuck behind your goon army and your goons running in first, that usually happens on tighter chokes, like in destination bridges and ramps.
You basically said everything you need about PvZ, multitask 100% lol
Ugh I just realized you only asked about cutting probes, but i typed about more than i should have.

I can't offer any specific advice but want to wish you good luck!

Good luck! I'm up for practice games any time.
PvZ - utilizing storms better - harass more - be more careful not to get observers sniped - protect expansions better Depending on your build, harassing more probably doesn't need to be a priority, especially if you're only trying to hit C+. The others, however, are really important.

Didn't someone once say if you need to ask when to cut probes, you aren't at the level where you should yet (No offense to anyone, I just remember reading it somewhere).

And about harass, it's good in and of itself but don't overdo it or try to force it too much.
