Some background information....
Good Game is an Australian television programme broadcast on ABC1 and ABC2, created by Janet Carr, premiered on September 19, 2006. The program, currently hosted by Stephanie Bendixsen ("Hex") and Steven O'Donnell ("Bajo"), looks at reviews, gaming news and hardware tips. Good Game has similarities to other gamer programs shown in the past on the American cable and satellite television channel G4. The fourth season of Good Game premiered on February 11, 2008 on ABC2, with the addition of encore broadcasts on ABC1 late on Friday nights.
And here is the article I want to comment about (on Junglist's replacement).
http://www.australiangamer.com/news/2574_bad_game_-_junglist_replaced.html
So basically, this 'Hex' chick replaced 'Junglist's job as host on this show. It's pretty much the only show in Australia related to gaming. I tried on and off to see if I could try somehow and promote e-Sports in Korea on the show with no success.
Anyway, I just watched the episode and I feel totally robbed. Junglist was never given an official goodbye, and, contrary to what was said at the end of this weeks episode, left the ABC out of disgust for being replaced by some random girl. Adding insult to injury, this girl totally sucks on camera. No chemistry at all and boring. She is literally only there to look good.
I knew Junglist from my CS days. He was a really cool guy, never had any beef with him and was really nice to me. To see him dismissed like this, in this fashion, just pisses me off.
EDIT: Here is a link to the website with this weeks episode if you want to judge.

That's a shame. I hate to see the good guys get shafted like that :/

I always thought they worked well together, why change something that is not broken?
The decision is just to try and capture the casual market which is bs. It only achieves in disrespecting the loyal fanbase.

Exactly, Kapowski was 'broken' and he was fairly fixed by Bajo. Junglist was an excellent host and I saw no flaws at all with him.
I blame this on ABC3.
EDIT: Not to sound sexist, but all of the female hosts seem very... 'out of place'. They have like no on-screen character at all and aren't boisterous.

That's because they are being hired to act like they love gaming. You can't fake enthusiasm or sincerity for too long, especially when you are being watched by the fans...

ahhh the good old cs days.....

I used to watch this show, Junglist was great. wtf why would they take him away. It just makes no sense.

haven't watched since the first few episodes of the first season, didn't like it, so i never followed it. I can assume it improved then?

NUUU
I saw the blog title and was like, "this can't be related to good game can it? Then I read THIS! Such a shame! I watch every one of their episodes, always get a good laugh while hearing about new games (and old ones alike). Best of luck to Junglist.
p.s. hahaha abc forums are full of netizens angry at the whole debakle.

I remember a female WC3 commentator (bunnie?) who could predict builds better than her male counterparts. That was i think 2005 when WCG was held in singapore (and ForU won SC). The last game i saw was Grubby and another Swedish guy in 3rd/4th place, and both came late with a terrible hangover =p

WTF how could they ruin such a great show. I mean come on ABC if you want to appeal to mainstream society don't mess with the vidya games.
btw junglist isn't the guy with the black hair right?

junglist is the one that sits on the left, the one that doesn't jump in his seat, the one that has awesome bum fluff, the one that has an interesting accent, the one that gives the best reviews, the one that is made of awesomeness.

any idea if junglist has his own blog or anything? would love to know if he starts doing video reviews online or something, really enjoyed his work can't imagine myself enjoying the show at all with him gone.. bajo is a bit of a tool imo, and i totally agree about that new chick just being out of place/having no on-screen character at all
