Fun Something to do I enjoy pwning noobs in arena and world pvp. Wow can be utterly satisfying when you take down a group of people by yourself in world pvp or when you reach the top of your battlegroup in arena ranking. Cons: 15$/month PvP balance fluctuates dramatically every patch. The game is filled with retards The game is addicting, and as a result can have a negative effect on my social life. The game fucks up your sleep cycles if you aren't careful. Whereas SC you can't even play decently if you are tired at all. I don't really have a massive amount of time to play. I have a SC2 beta key, so wow will compete with that (if it ever starts). I would have to transfer servers and find good teammates for arena. Hmm.... it seems as if there are more cons. Venting about this helped. I don't think I am going to go back.

Yeah though, its true, I have let relationships fall to shit because wow was more fun then going out with them. Doesn't say much for said girls, but hey, I'm one of those people who loses interest quickly.

Ask yourself a few questions. 1) Do I have around 2-4 hours of spare time each day? 2) Would I enjoy spending that 2-4 hours playing WoW rather than another hobby? 3) Would spending more time on the computer impact other areas of my life? (School, work, social life, your personality) Wow really isn't as devilish as people make it out to be. Your hobby is no more or less important than other peoples hobbies. If you enjoy WoW then so be it, have a great time playing. You just have to make sure you don't let your hobby turn into a obsession. If you can honestly see yourself staying productive in school, work, health, and social life while relaxing for a few hours each day on WoW then there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm definitely not retarded with girls, In fact I can get dates fairly easily, my problem is that I don't meet enough people that I actually find interesting. The large majority of my friends think that a fun night out is going to a bar or club, getting drunk, and picking up girls. Personally I have never met a girl in a bar who I actually found interesting beyond the prospect of getting my dick wet. The more time I spend in bars the more I become a jaded misogynist. I don't enjoy bars or clubs, and it seems like the 18-24 crowd is only interested in getting sloshed. It seems like I spend a lot of time staying in just because I don't find what I usually do when I go out overly fun. I know I should look for girls in places other than the bars, such as the gym, or university clubs etc., but damn, it seems like all of the single girls are drunk and in the bars.

Tankadins are awesome, and kinda OP. :p I recently started playing again by rolling a new character on a new server, and playing around with levelling. Much easier to limit the amount of time spent on the game that way. If PvP is your main interest that might not work as well, though.

1. I wasn't having fun anymore. The main reason was playing was to get gear and "pimp out" my toon. Which leads me to my next point. 2. No more do I play games that involves spending RL time to get virtual items, especially games that never end. With Starcraft, I feel like I'm actually getting something out of it. My guitar playing has gotten a lot better because my hand speed has increased and my pinky strength has improved 10x fold. 3. The game is retarded-ly simple. If you have the right gear, getting glad titles are like taking candy from a baby. Blizzard has dumbed the game down so much that it can be played by any demographic. Senior citizens play the game now because it's that simple. 4. In a moment, your favorite class can go from the bees-knees to herpes with a simple patch. It's impossible for them to balance the game. They've been trying for like 5 years and they haven't gotten any better at it. Balance in WoW doesn't exist and it never will. 5. Don't be a WoW-fanboy. You saw those people at blizzcon, be a real man, stick with SC

WoW hasn't changed much since then. Ret Pallies are now Locks, and DKs are now warriors, 2v2 is useless, Protholy is retardedly OP in 2v2, 3v3 is pretty much PMR or go home, and 5v5 is a ridiculous 100k+ damage in a single global comp. Unless you're a Wrath PvP'er (No offense) don't come back. The days of BC are gone. I haven't *Played* in a while but my account is active till the end of the year so i still get on occassionally and get the lowdown to what's going on.

Maybe 1-2 hours. 2) I might have more fun playing wow, but its debatable. 3) It might impact school if my workload increases, but I haven't even played games in 3 weeks, so I don't think it would become a problem.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I thought until I saw the mage buffs and the recent SK top 100 rankings. Mages are raping the top end of the field. Mage/priest is easily the best 2's comp these days. Again though, this just shows how bad blizzard is at balancing their game, and next month it might be different.

Yeah Mage/Priest is OP too, but like I said, 2v2 means absolutely nothing anymore, you can't get titles or rating items with it...soo...
