edit: lakrismamma, I'm not American but when I got here I was instructed to say the pledge to both the American and Texas flag every single morning during my high school years. I guess it's some sort of ritual/tradition/convention?

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." the fact that it has god in it never fails to amuse me. separation of church and state go fuck yourself

There's only been one court case on this taken to the district level. We don't care... why do you?

Maybe we just said to our native countries/politics "go fuck yourselves" and fled here. There's no patriotism in that even though we sing the anthem and raise our flag all the damn time. Why argue over a statement that has 0 meaning to those who say it at all?

Get the fuck over yourselves you self-righteous smug pricks, most people don't learn the pledge in some sort of brainwashing pseudo-religious indoctrination, they learn it because it's a part of living in the fucking United States and having even the tiniest modicum of patriotism. ??????? my comment had no hint of malice toward FuDDx. And, there is nothing wrong with criticizing the practice of mandatory recitation of the pledge of allegiance. Your kid is awesome as always Fudd.
