no offense to fuddx, but the response foreigners give to a member proudly posting his son's recital of it seems perfectly acceptable. I am a U.S Student through and through and my sister is as well. Some of her 4th grade homework makes me cringe at how much pervasive propganda is abbrasively blended in. I guess I'm just a little bewildered and disgusted that some parents feel pride for this.

But really posting your kid reciting U.S propoganda on a international website seems to be a bit tactless. (Even though most kids that recite it don't give a shit about it)

Obviously logic will not work with you. No one is telling you what you should or shouldn't do. I did not once suggesting you taught it to him. Tactless is having your son dress as a ghost in black neighborhood in Alabama for Halloween. (your son metaphorically) It's obvious you mean no harm. Your son just wants to be a ghost! But think about the connotations of what that 'ghost' can bring with it.

The fact that you are or aren't a supporter of the government is entirely irrelevant. Propaganda is all encompassing. Whether it is effective or not, is entirely up to the viewer and obviously in your case, it is quite effective.

As for promoting the sense that you are more sage and wise since I am 'kiddless', I hope even a balloon clown can realize how irrelevant this is to the offtopic shitstorm at hand.
