Beside being a thread for sharing the frustration of SC2 setbacks, I was more curious about everyone's interest in the current build - specifically tier climbing routes.
Obviously all information concerning builds are subject to change, but at the base, each unit has a defined role in its respective army (unit counters). I think it will be an interesting discussion as we will see the game progress over the next few months and see which unit dynamics will prove effective once the Beta comes out..
I would say this thread is more of a log of everyone's curiosity concerning build mechanics. For example:
[If Beta was out today] I would experiment with a Marine/Reaper build.
[If Beta was out today] I will experiment with a build for Phase Prisms.
Now I know once the Beta is released that it would be redundant to try just one build or unit counter but I'm sure there are some things you really want to see in action via resurrecting a timeless mechanical build order. So share it!
I wouldn't mind to play around with a viking / drop build... seems like a quick way to drop units (via dropships) and have good support with the vikings transforming to walker mode.
I'd really like to test the phase prism and the warp in ability, that's all I'm really interested in atm. And maybe some sort of quick colossus build where I just climb the cliff and harass workers.
I think I'd try out a Helion opening and try transitioning from there. They seem pretty strong against most tier 1 units and can out run most units atm. From there I could try Viking raids or back to support units like the Marine or Tank
Bunker rushing, since there is (or i think that there still is) salvage ability, plus quite much people said that workers are "better" in combat than in SC1 so yeah gogo SCV power
