O.K- Seoul PC LAN #2 coming up the last weekend in July.

There are those who missed the first one due to one reason or another who have expressed interest in coming to another LAN. There are those who had to leave early during the first one who have expressed interest in coming to another LAN. there are those who's girlfriends bitched at them and made them miss all the good stuff who have expressed interest in coming to another LAN...
Well this is another LAN. Same place, same gosuness.
The deal: Show up and game for a few hours. Nothing extravagant planned just a casual lan for some good games and fun times. Show up should be around 4pm or 5pm but any time is fine. Address of the place is in the O.P. Rates are cheap ($2 an hour), bring ur own mouse and keyboard if you wish. We'll probably game till around 11pm or whenever we feel like it. Any of the 3 days work for me personally. There are some quick places to eat around the LAN center and the place itself has some basic food but I'm not planning for a dinner or anything big this time around.
The invention goes out to any TL.Net member and friends.
Post here or PM me if interested or want to confirm or if you have questions/suggestions. Depending on the interest/turnout we may do any number of things from a team melee tournament to 2v2 tournament to 4v4 bo5's. Or epic 1v1's. Main game of course is starcraft but the comps are loaded with all kinds of goodness.
Poll: Better day for a LAN?
(Vote): Thursday July 30th
(Vote): Friday July 31st
(Vote): Saturday August 1st
(Vote): All 3 are fine
(Vote): I can't make it but I'm there for the next one!

Tentative future plans are a LAN in late August and early October. Depending on the interest and turnout we can decide if dinner is called for and what not. I'll keep people updated as we move along. Also some of the Maryland boys have expressed a possibility of hosting at their house at some point in the future which would make it easier for the Baltimore/MD folks so they don't have as long a drive every time.

A shot of the cramped quarters we were playing in, it was hard to even walk by (but I'm fat, so it could just be me ^_^)

Another crowd shot to give you an idea how cramped/dark it was
Forget who this was, but they were Protoss... we had sooooo many Protoss
Gosu Terran LuckyFool in one of his epic 30+ minute TvT's against haemonculus
HatchetWound in the background playing his awesome, no-way-are-you-going-to-stim-runby Zerg, and SuperiorWolf trying to figure out how to work the brackets (he messed them up like 5 times)
zeppelin giving his best "T1 Fighting!" pose...
...And failing to contain the awesome.
That's right, his shirt is signed by the Mother-Fucking Revolutionist himself (Jealous? I know I am)
zeppelin and CaucasianAsian, I was A SPLIT SECOND too late from catching one of the most awkward encounters ever on film... I asked them to hug each other while I took a picture and they both thought I was serious... they both just stared at each other like "uhhhhhh..."
Or was I serious?!?
SuperiorWolf checking for rain, Storrzerg, CaucasianAsian, and SadistX
We took bets on how old Storrzerg (grey shirt, arms crossed) was, with most of us picking 14 or 15... mother fucker is 20 years old, some serious gary coleman stuff going on (he even broke out his ID's to prove it).

Food! I forgot to take pics of the main dish, Korean food is sooo tasty. PS, for the uninitated... soju tastes terrible and will burn a hole in your esophagus, but it f*cks you up real good.
Btw, rofl@ Duckett (black shirt) trying to tell a story and loophole(I think?) chowing down... sorry I couldn't get a better shot.
Extra special thanks to Syndrome for teaching me how to use chopsticks btw!

SEOUL PC Gaming Center

4231 Markham St # 2
Annandale, VA 22003-3028
(703) 750-0450
When:
1:30 PM ~ 11:30 PM
We will be having dinner at a nearby Korean BBQ so bring some money for yourself to eat. Also, bring about $16 for the PC center costs, which will give 8 hours of playing time at $2 per hour. We will probably play for about 5 hours until 6:30 PM, walk 0.2 miles to the restaurant and eat. If we finish by 8:00 PM, we have another 3 hours that will take us to 11:00 PM. You'll probably want to bring your own mouse + mousepad + keyboard, but they should be provided anyway. This is the Korean BBQ, but there is another one 0.9 miles away as well.

Some research on the restaurant says it has an average meal price per person of $12. It's rated #2 in Annandale by tripadvisor, and reviews are about 80% "best korean restaurant in DC area" to 10% "pretty good for casual outing" and another 10% "food is ok, service is terrible". Seems alright.

Yahoo! Review
WashingtonPost gives it an even more generous review, and is very favorable.
There will probably be a tournament (preferably double-elim, but only if we have enough time to finish it) with no buy-in and a prize pool. So far me and Loophole are willing to contribute about $15 each, HatchetWound also is willing to put an additional $10 to the prizepool and Torenhire also showed interest in putting in some money so we are looking at about $40-$50 total so far. Tournament brackets will be generated with www.binarybeast.com and each round will probably be Bo3 with a Bo5 finals.

Hi, I've arrived in Washington D.C. for a summer internship at the NIH and will be staying here until July 24th. I wrote a blog earlier asking whether there was going to be any D.C. meetups and there seemed to be a general consensus towards having a LAN sometime and I think that would be awesome.
I just did a quick bit of searching on Teamliquid and came up with this thread:
