Depending on the interest/turnout we may do any number of things from a team melee tournament to 2v2 tournament to 4v4 bo5's. Or epic 1v1's. Main game of course is starcraft but the comps are loaded with all kinds of goodness. A high res hacking man named Torenhire Tentative future plans are a LAN in late August and early October. Depending on the interest and turnout we can decide if dinner is called for and what not. I'll keep people updated as we move along. Also some of the Maryland boys have expressed a possibility of hosting at their house at some point in the future which would make it easier for the Baltimore/MD folks so they don't have as long a drive every time.  -LF Washington D.C. Hi, I've arrived in Washington D.C. for a summer internship at the NIH and will be staying here until July 24th. I wrote a blog earlier asking whether there was going to be any D.C. meetups and there seemed to be a general consensus towards having a LAN sometime and I think that would be awesome. I've gone through the rates and all for X3O gaming center in Rockville, I think they provide computers so we will not have to BYOC, and for those of us in Bethesda we can also take the metro to Rockville right?

Ya that would be fine to do it at someone's house, but I think we could get a pretty decent turnout. There was a lot of interest a few months ago when someone was trying to organize this, and I think a lot of people still would be willing to do this. I don't really know why no one is posting in this thread but maybe it is because there are a lot of other threads getting bumped over this right now. I think I'll PM a couple of people so we can at least start the process of getting this organized

I'd be willing to hop over to X3O @ MD or somebodies place within about a 45 minute drive of Fairfax. There's also a decent place in the Arlington area I believe that we found through the other thread when we were originally planning a DC area LAN.
Friday/Saturday works better for me.

i am a suuuper longtime lurker, first post here
im from princeton(gogo csl) but im also going to the nih this summer for research (my research is measuring forces in DNA in bull and salmon sperm >.<)
ill be in bethesda 10 min from the campus with a car so i can drive you superiorwolf =) and i can drive 3 more ppl
i pretty much cant do any weekday but friday night/any weekend is probably fine, im going to be mad bored as it is
im D+ iccup with protoss and terran, atm im playing PvZ TvP TvT (dthoms if anyone wants to hit me up when im on)

in Fairfax, there's a PC Cafe called "Seoul PC" in Annandale VA. It's $2/hr with nice monitors good connection. Plus its just a few miles from a Korean BBQ Buffet place that's pretty good.
Went to X30 for WCG last year, was pretty cool, little more expensive than other places but it's straight.
Anyday is fine for me, as long as I have at least a week of notice, and it's not mid august.
I'm down.

Alright I updated the OP and I will be planning on calling X30 and maybe Seoul sometime tomorrow. If anyone would like to do that today/tonight/next morning that would be great because I will not be able to call until then. We should find out the rates and hours and get some sort of reservation, hopefully they will give us a discount for coming as a group. This is looking pretty good so far! We're looking at a Saturday in early/mid July If we do it on a weekend we can possibly organize lunch and/or dinner as well, like the Markham LAN 
I am going to look up Seoul PC right now. I think it will be fine to have it there and the rates seem good by what you say, it may get too far for the Baltimore people though. Then again, X3O is far for the Richmond people as well
Also, to the NIH people: when are you guys getting here? It would be cool if we could meet up at lunch or something. The place I'm staying out would work if we could get some kind of LAN connection (would hamachi work?) and that would be cool, because the internet is a little so I don't think that'll be the best to use.

i will come for sure if it is at rockville place, i was there watching for wcg off line prelims last year. It was about an hr drive for me coming from baltimore i dunno where the other place is but if its 2 far i dunno if i can make it but who know what ever is best for everybody.

Congratulations ETT I'll update OP later tonight. Just as an update - I posted on the X3O forums and got a response so here's some additional information about the X3O Gaming Center in Rockville...
First off, thank you for thinking about coming out to our center. I read the teamliquid.net post and am seeing that there is a ton of positive feedback and support from the local SC community. Let me go ahead and answer some of your questions as well as provide you a bit more information about how this event could work. Generally speaking we do not offer reservations for groups of friends that want to come in together. Our policy in the past has simply been first come first serve. With that in mind, Saturday & Sundays do get booked for birthday parties, which leave us with limited or no availability for several hours at a time. What I would be willing to do for you is set-up a StarCraft Day that would allow players that PRE-PAID for their spots, the ability to reserve stations for the day. X3O would also not book parties on that day, ensuring that you would have full access to the facility. We would need at least 10 players to pre-pay for the event two weeks in advance or earlier to guarantee the date. The best possible rates I can give gamers that want to reserve a computer for this event on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday would be our normal rates. I can however extend to you the $5.00 day pass offer Monday-Thursday, through August of this year. Alternatively you can take advantage of all promotional rates and not be- required to pre-pay, however it would be first come first serve and subject to limited availability during birthday parties. ---------------------------------------------------------------- There are a ton of restaurants in this area that range in a variety of prices. Immediately next to us you will find a Papa John’s Pizza, Arby’s, Popeyes, McDonalds, Chipotle and Silver Diner. Another member also expressed interest in joining us if we hold the event. I was hoping we would get a discounted rate for being a group, but maybe that can still apply. As of yet, they say their rates still apply... I don't know how they differentiate from who's a "student member" and who's a "regular member", but I'm thinking the regular member 5 hour rate is a bit over-the-top for our purposes... The Markham LAN also being organized in Canada has $10 for 7-8 hours or something like that. Regular member rate here is $24 for 5 hours, $16 if student member, $8 if premiere member.
Also, anyone been looking around that website and know what the promotional rates are?

I was hoping we would get a discounted rate for being a group, but maybe that can still apply. As of yet, they say their rates still apply... I don't know how they differentiate from who's a "student member" and who's a "regular member", but I'm thinking the regular member 5 hour rate is a bit over-the-top for our purposes... The Markham LAN also being organized in Canada has $10 for 7-8 hours or something like that. Regular member rate here is $24 for 5 hours, $16 if student member, $8 if premiere member. Also, anyone been looking around that website and know what the promotional rates are?
The one on Markham street is quite larger (more machines) than X30 I can go later today and post pics. The hourly rate is only $2/hr and I don't think they have any special promotions/etc... honestly, whenever I have been there, it's very rare to be too crowded (i.e. no more than 1/5th of all computers being used).

i did a mapquest the one in VA is only 1hr and 30 min drive for me so thats not 2 bad any thing over 2 hrs is pushin it but 1 1/2 hr is not bad so i will make the trip no matter what place is chosen i have been looking forward to a lan in the area for a long time cause i don't know any one who plays the game in person other than me. gogogogogogogogogo

Alright I sent Seoul PC an email regarding the LAN and hopefully I will get a reply soon so we can check which will be the better center to go to. Based on our current poll results, it seems our LAN we most likely be on
- July 11th, Saturday
- July 18th, Saturday
and probably in the afternoon - evening (we can get lunch, dinner, or both).
I accidently emailed them saying July 4th as a potential date as well, but I think most people will be celebrating

Seoul PC would be better for the Virgina boys but I'd be down for either. I would NOT recommend doing this shindig on July 4th as other people (myself included) most likely have other plans/parties/events. Not to mention extra traffic in and around DC for the hundreds of thousands who go to the fireworks @ the Mall in downtown DC.

I've been asking the organizer (one of my friends) of the Markham LAN in Canada for advice on what to do - they had lunch before the event (7 people attended) and then went all the way until about 11. In that time they had a 2 hour dinner at some pretty fancy restaurant as well. I don't think that many people will be that into going to lunch before the event, but since most LANs don't include dinners I still think it would be nice for this LAN to have a dinner you can attend if you'd like. We could reserve/book some restaurant in the area if it's pretty good one, or we could just go to some regular restaurant or even fast food if you guys would rather do that or don't have the money
If we decide to hold a tournament, it will hopefully be double elimination if everyone shows up on time and we have enough time to complete it. I would be willing to dish out just a few bucks for the 1st place, maybe $15 or so, but not much
July 11th looks to probably be our most likely date, but July 18th is still definitely viable.

Wow so many NIH people. Where does everyone work? Im building 37. As I told Superiorwolf, I play with another IRTA and he knows a bunch of other Starcraft people who were lookign to set up some lan thing. Maybe we can combine these two groups.

I'd be up for any sort of meals. For tournaments, usually what I see in the Melee scene is a buy-in of something small like $5, which goes to a pot that's divided among the top placers at the organizer's discretion. I think something like that could work here, though I dunno if everyone would be up for that. Jeez, so many Starcraft players in the area. This shit is going to be too good.

Meh I've been going to lunch very late recently (like 2-3) so B1 is closed so I just go get lunch at floor 2 and all lonely by myself xD. I only have eaten at B1 once before. Some of their stuff is pretty expensive and not that good, but I don't have any good alternative so I have to buy it anyways. I will go to B1 tomorrow but I don't know if I can get there on time You're talking about building 10's cafeteria right?

i talked to them today, forgot the batteries to my camera T_T.
But I asked them about reserving computers for it, and they asked how many people would most likely be showing up. I didn't have an exact number so I said something like 10-20 people. They said that was too many people to reserve computers for, but if we're going to get there early (around noon-ish - one) then there should not be a problem getting everyone a computer as there about 40 computers there, and most people who come, come later around 6:00.
The price for it is $2/hr, and no discount for large groups.
Every computer has starcraft installed, and LAN capable.
There is a semi-new korean BBQ place across the street (anyone who lives in the area and knows where Ribsters was, that's it) and a korean BBQ buffet down the road (i've been to the buffet one personally, and can attest to that it is good, can't remember the price though).

Thanks for putting the effort into getting this going Suppy. The 11th or the 18th would work for me, but it sounds like more people want to do the 11th.
Getting together somewhere for food sounds good as well, I would be down for just about anywhere, but there is a sushi place down the road that I love called Yamazato.
The rate at Seoul PC sounds more like it. Is it too far for anyone? I could probably give people a ride from the metro if people are metroing in. The closest stop is the Dunn Loring stop on the orange line.
I'd be willing to throw $20 towards the pot for a tournament. I agree that it's probably not the best idea to make everyone buy in.
For those that are 21, we could grab a drink afterwards someplace in Arlington or Alexandria.

I think all PC Cafes and gaming centers will have their own mice and keyboards so you won't have to bring your own stuff. I find most people still do so anyways just so it's closer to their usual playing environment. So you won't have to, but bringing your own headphones / mouse / keyboard may make it easier to play on the computers
And yeah, I'm also considering just saying 1:00 PM so we have more time to eat and such, but we'll see OP is updated.

Sorry :/ We definitely considered it but most people seemed fine with the Seoul PC area. The X3O we were just unsatisfied with a $39 rate for 8 hours in comparison to $16 for 8 hours in Seoul PC. Do you live right next to X3O?
This weekend I will probably still contact both the restaurant and SeoulPC just to let them know we'll be coming in so they can prepare We might as well make a reservation at the restaurant just in case it is crowded, but first I'll wait to see if anyone has any other suggestions and also if they'd rather just choose a restaurant on the day we get there. Of course, I have my own camera here. It's pretty old but I've used it for all the LANs I've gone too and the quality is good enough even though it's old Hopefully someone brings a videocamera so we can record some parts of the dinner and the gaming. We never got to record the Berkeley LANs and only the hosts did, and they compile the video into a big movie that they sell to their club or w/e

Edit: Found a few reviews. Average meal price per person is $12, and it is rated #2 restaurant in Annandale by TripAdvisor. Personal reviews are mixed, but more positive than negative. Read the op for more info and a link. I'll get some more review places of that restaurant as well. Seems pretty suitable for us

It's very difficult for me to say whether I will be free to come play with you guys because my schedule at NIH often involves weekends. It really is not even dependent on how much work I finish in the week, but more whether patients are coming in that day. Hope to find out more information soon.

Ok, just called them up. They also said you can't reserve computers if there's that many people but I told them we'll be coming in at like 1 - 1:30 PM and he said there will probably be 20 computers or so at that time.
Asked him about the maps and he wasn't really sure what they were, so he said he'd go talk to his manager about it - he asked me which maps and I told him we had a big list so I said just like Python and stuff, so hopefully it'll be sorted out. Even if they don't have it ready I'm sure if we get there we can just download iCCup mappack for the tournament.

Figures it's on the same evening as UFC 100 (sick ass fight card, possibly the best ever) and got some friends coming by to split the ppv/beer cost. Will definitely try to catch the next TL "Baltington" LAN if this one is a success, and the restaurant looks clutch, wish I could make it.. haven't been to any kind of gaming LAN since like 2003, pretty sad

Provided I can figure out how the metro thing works, that'd be really great. I think I have a pretty good idea of how to get to the end of the blue line from here, though. Guess I just show up at the end of the blue line with a sign with your name on it, huh?

Remember, the LAN will begin at around 1:30 PM at 4231 Markham St #2, Annandale, VA. We will be playing up to about 6-7 PM and then go to eat dinner. Originally the plan was to go to Ye Chon Restaurant, a Korean restaurant located at 4121 Hummer Rd, Annandale VA, but we are subject to change this. I checked back today and realized that walking from the LAN center to that restaurant may be a bit too far (15-20 minutes) and it would be easier to go somewhere closer. All up to the feeling during the LAN though! There are a few other restaurants in the area and I think there is another Korean restaurant just a one minute walk away, but I don't think it's received as good reviews as the Ye Chon Restaurant. It's up to whatever everyone feels like on the day of the LAN I suppose.
We'll be having a tournament that will most likely be double elimination with a map pool that has mostly standard maps, maybe a few really weird ones / foreigner made maps if both players agree to play on them (loser gets to pick other standard maps). Not sure if the first rounds will be bo3 or bo1, but I think bo3 is definitely doable. The prize pool is based off of donations that people are sending, and some people who have said they are willing to put in some money include me, Loophole, HatchetWound and Torenhire, so we will probably have about a $40-$50 prize pool. Save all replays and submit them to me and maybe I will make a really quick "LAN Highlights" video (if I figure out how)!
My phone number is up on the original post, contact me if you have questions or anything. Bring some money for dinner and about $16 for the LAN fee ($2/hour rate) and let's have a lot of fun! Anyone who has a videocamera or camera it would be nice for you to bring it so we have some coverage of the event, I'll be bringing my own camera and posting pictures after I get back to California (don't have the computer adapter for the memory card here) but it would be a lot cooler to have pictures out earlier and video hopefully! Also if anyone has a unused sign board or something so we can put a TL sign that would be great too. GL HF!

Man this was so much more amazing than any of the Berkeley LANs I went to - maybe it's because there was a fantastic turnout or maybe because everyone was just so damn awesome! Everyone was just a really fun person It was really great to meet everyone and put names to faces and all. We were really lucky to get a very suitable dinner place and that time to get to know everyone was cool. Hope everyone enjoyed it, and you guys better organize your own LANs in this area sometime soon!

haha oh my god last night rocked. I just woke up... I'll be blogging about last night later today with battle reports and everything... Some really nice games last night, definitely some of the best LAN games I've ever been a part of.
Pretty much 12 straight hours of SC with a break for dinner was pretty hardcore. Near the end it was starting to get pretty crazy...Seemed like every game was 30+ minutes too. haha.
Oh and we're definitely doing this again sometime. I live 20 minutes from the place so I'll be organizing another one at some point in the future.

Ha thanks for pointing out the blog ETT, I definitely wouldn't have seen it otherwise since it gets bumped down from masses of low quality blogs I used to post the most in the blog section but haven't really even looked at it for half a year now so thanks for pointing out Luckyfool's blog :D
About the highlight video - I'm definitely down to do it, I just can't really get started until I get back to California since I don't have camtasia on this computer here. What I can do is look at some of the replays and pick some highlights so when I get back I'll have all the plays ready to be recorded. So sure!
Also thanks for the more pictures ETT, these are really cool! I didn't know you brought a camera too :D Now I just can't wait for CaucasianAsian's videos / pictures too This was such a fun experience! I'm glad you guys are looking to organize more LANs, I think Luckyfool mentioned he was planning one in a month or two which'll be great because there are tons of cool people here. There's a chance I might do something fun in terms of commentary/comedy on some of the games from Saturday and upload to my youtube channel within a couple days. I finally got my voice back, I was sick late last week and even during the LAN had a slight cough/sore throat, finally feeling better...
I was told to make fun of myself in some of the games I lost or crazy moments, I can definitely do that... There were many funny things that would be great to share. The 405938 tanks that come out of nowhere and attack in one of the games vs Haemonculus, the orb DT that waltz's through a wall like nothing. My push that gets completely crushed by Zeppelin... And 6 or 7 of the 9 games vs Superior were top notch. I haven't watched the replays yet but when I do I'll make sure to check for times of when stuff happens. Some of it is definitely highlight video stuff.
Man I still can't get over how good some of the games and all the players were.
Edit CaucasianAsian's videos up yet? I don't see them. Oh and I found ya on facebook Hatchetwound, sweet. :D

Right now I'm starting to feel out a possible July 30th or 31st dealieo @ Seoul PC, no dinner plans and extravagant shit, what u do is eat a late lunch, show up at like 4pm and just game till u get hungry, when u get hungry u have two choices, buy some dried chips+water @ seoul pc, or leave. Yeah sounds casual and chill that's how we roll. At least 5 or 6 people have expressed interest in future lans so might be pretty sweet we'll see.

Oh and skill level is a non issue. The fact that you play starcraft at all is awesome and when you go to these LAN's it's all just for a good time. Last LAN some people brought friends who hadn't played in years and they still had fun.

The deal: Show up and game for a few hours. Nothing extravagant planned just a casual lan for some good games and fun times. Show up should be around 4pm or 5pm but any time is fine. Address of the place is in the O.P. Rates are cheap ($2 an hour), bring ur own mouse and keyboard if you wish. We'll probably game till around 11pm or whenever we feel like it. Any of the 3 days work for me personally. There are some quick places to eat around the LAN center and the place itself has some basic food but I'm not planning for a dinner or anything big this time around.
The invention goes out to any TL.Net member and friends.
Post here or PM me if interested or want to confirm or if you have questions/suggestions. Depending on the interest/turnout we may do any number of things from a team melee tournament to 2v2 tournament to 4v4 bo5's. Or epic 1v1's. Main game of course is starcraft but the comps are loaded with all kinds of goodness.

Tentative future plans are a LAN in late August and early October. Depending on the interest and turnout we can decide if dinner is called for and what not. I'll keep people updated as we move along. Also some of the Maryland boys have expressed a possibility of hosting at their house at some point in the future which would make it easier for the Baltimore/MD folks so they don't have as long a drive every time.

Lucky, I think I figured out a way to play Starcraft at 5040 x 1050 with my three monitors... I'm still finding huge bugs in the thing I wrote to span it over 3 monitors but I'm on the verge of a breakthrough!
Also. Friday / Saturday would be best for me, but Thursday would work too - just gotta leave a bit early cause of 6am work.

Originally I was planning we'd have no more than 8 people but the interest has been great for this so far. If we have 13+ people we may have to plan a dinner... I'll give it a couple more days and tell you guys... In the meantime what are peoples thoughts?
The way I see it we have two options basically-
Option 1: We can make it start around the afternoon sometime (3pm) and have a dinner just like the first LAN and then game till whenever.
Option 2: We can start a little bit later on (6pm) and just game into the night. In which case I would recommend everyone grab something to eat before arriving.
Right now it looks like at least 4 people or so weren't at the first LAN (or missed the dinner) that are coming this time and I must say the dinner is a really nice social aspect of the whole thing. But I also know it's a Friday and some people have work or can't roll in till like 6pm like loophole and possibly others.
we could always leave it to a poll...

I voted for option 1, but I would personally try another place. The food was decent and the alcohol quite good, but the overall atmosphere is too chaotic and noisy for my liking. I like to chillax in a more relaxing place after starcraft matches, but that's just me ;p
But wherever the majority decides to go is fine as well.

The korean bbq was good food but I do agree with Sadistx the place was mobbed, hectic and pretty insane. It wasn't that bad right now it looks like we'll probably do the same place. It wasn't too expensive either. At least not on an individual scale, the combined bills must have been :O haha.
Right now it appears we will have around 15 people. That's awesome.
Storr has recommended that we eat earlier which might be a good idea, before the place gets too crazy. That might be really smart we'll see, as always I'll keep everyone updated in here. (Last time we went at like 6:30pm which is probably the busiest time of the night.)
Going at like 5pm might be smarter.

As of right now there should be anywhere from 10-15 TL.Net members there and possibly a few friends. There will be a double elimination 1v1 and a 2v2 tournament (time permitting) registration for both tournaments will be between 3-3:30pm or so with games starting at 4. Dinner will be around 6:30pm at Fuddruckers burger and steak house. Gaming will go till whenever in the night I'll probably be there till late. Rates are $2 an hour at Seoul PC and dinner will be like $10-12 bucks probably more or less depending on what u get.

Oh and just a couple future LAN plans while it's on my mind: Something soon will probably happen in Maryland possibly at someones house or x30 gaming center in August.

The guy at the PC Cafe told me to call them ahead and tell them about a month beforehand about the LAN in October, then a week ahead just to make sure we'll have enough computers

If you could, try to have them reserve the spots in the left area instead of that crowded little area on the right, it was really hard to walk around and make friends when you were stuck in the chair and could barely move

The area to the right also gets hot after a while which sucks.
If 20+ people show the right side won't even be enough anyway. Definitely will go for the left side so we won't be split up like the first time.
I'll remember to call in early September. Let's shoot for over 20 people!

Why dont you just stream it onto your PC and then to your TV?

oh, well actually I could do that.. lol. My tv has a vga port, the res is really crappy running over vga and not hdmi tho, so I'll see if i can get a dvi-hdmi adapter. If i can find one and get my rents to ok it I'll host. (my rents are usually cool with whatever so it shouldnt be a problem)

If the next LAN is during the first week of October, I will definitely try to come. It's only about a 3/4 hour drive (I suppose) and that's no big deal really. I only require a definitive date so I can take the days off of work. Would be cool meeting TLers finally.

Hahaha yessir! Klazart was freakin hysterical in that game. He had numerous great quotes, including "all ye doubters be banished to hellfire" and "somebody get that man a hamburger." I love his casts. He talks at like 200 miles an hour, so he occasionally gets mixed up and accidentally calls zerglings siege tanks, stuff like that, but he's very good for the most part.

Alrighty, we are all set! My landlord and housemates will be out of town tomorrow, so I've got the place to myself. But again, I've only lived here for a week, so we've got to keep everything tidy!
If TossYoSalad can bring a TV, and someone has some sort of method to connect a laptop to said TV, we are in good shape. I'm going to be getting home tomorrow about 3 or so, and will need to shower and make the place presentable and all that, so what time would work best for people? I can do anytime 5 or later on Saturday, or we can shoot for Sunday. What works best for people?
Are we doing a full out LAN party? Or just hanging out and watching the games?
If anyone wants to bring snacks, that might be a good idea. I live with 3 guys who are a bit retarded at cooking/food, and I haven't been shopping yet, so our kitchen is a tad barren at the moment.

Do we need me to bring my comp? (PMing Haemonculus after this post... me and cpeter123 again.) I am 90% sure I can get this HDMI port working (I think I need seperate drivers to put audio over my DVI ports..) Of course this is assuming the TV that's showing up is without a VGA/DVI port.
I tried (and failed) today to take a 65" Panasonic Plasma screen (I work in the home theater business) from the office stock but my boss was like "Aren't you leaving for vacation for two weeks on Monday?" and said if I weren't going on vacation I could have taken it.
Sorry Teamliquid, but I don't have any more days off until next summer and dropping a few days off vacation and borrowing the 65" wasnt worth it. FORGIVE ME. ;_;

I was wondering why I hadn't seen lucky on iccup lately haha. Sucks for him. The TV is 32" and has a VGA port. Unfortunately, the resolution SUCKS with VGA (1280x800 I think) so if we can get usable HDMI that would be MUCH MUCH MUCH better, but it's not like sc is hd or anything anyway lol.

Well, my GTX280s are being asshats.
Like I plug in the SPDIF cable into my primary one and the secondary one thinks it has the cable plugged in and vice versa. So I checked device IDs and shit and everything is fine...
and then I realised that I was plugged into the wrong set of pins on my X-fi and that my X-fi is the ONLY Titanium series that doesn't have an internal HDMI port.
So I can't do it unless I loop the external stuff in....
Of course the alternative is I do video over HDMI and bring my Logitech 5.1 in and we just use those instead of HDMI audio.
I'll drop the VODs on a flash drive... don't own a PS3 though.

Well if you're going to bring over your whole computer anyway we'll just use that. if you feel like bringing 5.1s thats cool haha, else we can just use some shitty stereo speakers i have laying around.
OR if you dont wanna lug your computer around just convert the .flvs to ps3 friendly format and I'll bring my ps3 and we can just use that. I know how much of a pain it is to lug comps around heh.

LOL yeah i was actually looking at the bwchart of it yesterday. You had a nice solid 200-250(spammer! lol) until you saw the gates going down then it dropped to 120-150. BTW best way to beat that is just pull like 5-6 probes to take out a gateway then its 2gate vs 1gate.

That's okay. My neighbor had to leave with his parents on a surprise family visit and he took the flash drive with the VODs on it so I'm scrambling to DL them again.
Its taking forever. - - so I might just have to pre-load Youtube...Surprisingly enough the High Quality on YT is better than the VODs we found so it might work out.
I am a mess (lol yardwork) so I'm jumping in the shower and then packing up... Lucky I could come pick you up if you want so you don't have to drive

Just wanted to say TORENHIRE ROCKS for giving me a ride tonight. I literally got home at 4pm after being gone all week and was out the door headed out to this LAN an hour later. Awesome times! Watching starcraft with a bunch of TL people is awesome. Also a big thanks to Haemonculus for hosting, the place was awesome and everything worked out GREAT.
Hope people keep planning things!
I'll be heading out of town (again lawl) for a couple weeks on Monday, when I get back I'll be laying out the plans for the October LAN so watch for that. I'll probably be making my own thread for that and managing it myself, Superiorwolf has done a great job with this but the October LAN is starting to grow into something worthy of it's own thread. I'm adding Krackling and LordWeird to my PM list. I now have 35 names (holy shit) on the DC/BAL PM list. But yeah look for news on that probably in a couple weeks or so. I'll start putting together possible tentative lists of attendees and whatnot.
Oh I have the list posted in my last blog for anyone and I also have it in spreadsheet form for easy cut and pasting when it's time to send out 35+ PM's.

I spent Sunday packing for my trip to QUAKECON TOMORROW :OOOO
This worked out nicely (except for my friend leaving with the VODs...) because I had to pack up my computer anyways to take it with me to Texas, so Saturday gave me an excuse to do so early. :D Glad I could be there... I'll be way more prepared next time.. I'm gonna go buy a soundcard that will allow me to hook it right into my graphics cards and then we'll have video / audio over HDMI instead of just video... I didn't realise I didn't have that capability already ;-;
Although the 5.1 didn't sound too bad. Thanks alot to Storr and uh...shit, I forgot who a) was there and b) who lent me their laptop to DL the rest of the VODs, but thanks for letting me DL them that way. LOL @ Storrzerg accidentally clicking on the spoiler and spoiling all the matches for himself.
Anyhow, I'll be gone the next two weeks so I can't come and hang for anything that goes on, but afterwards I'll totally be game... if nothing comes up, see you guys in October!!!

Edit: wow Xeris that's sweeeet. I already have like 8 people confirmed for October LAN and I haven't even started asking or the thread yet... Oh and for dinner in October we're probably gonna be going to Korean BBQ Buffet place down the road, I might stop by there with a friend sometime before and give it a firsthand review, I think CaucasianAsian has been there before so maybe he can vouch for us too... We have TONS of options though there are literally a dozen restaurants within walking distance of the place.
