please worry about something else man. i mean, come on. everyone's got so much to worry about in their own lives. do you really need to be worrying about international war with north korea? is this worth running around town screaming out loud about? sometime i feel like south park just isnt getting though to people. anger, fear, aggression. these are the tools of the dark side yo. you are spoon fed fearhype and you suck it up like it's cheese
EDIT: copied from the original post under a different title.

North Korea would be foolish to start a war. They have zero chance of winning (i.e. S. Korea, Japan, and the US has more than enough military power to defeat them), and won't get anything out of it. I doubt it'll happen.

if i have family there, i have a goddamn reason to worry.

What the fuck would turning off his tv do? He got it from online. And worrying about war is perfectly legitimate.
Also, wouldn't north korea destroy south korea pretty damn easily? I believe they have something like thirty-five hundred missles just facing Seoul alone, right?

Yeah. The media has brought up this subject so many times that i've become callous to it. N. Korea is a poverty stricken nation. Their citizens hate their own countries. And they need necessities from foreign aid to overcome the fact that their economy sucks ass. They see that the best way to do that is by using their military strength (I think if they didn't spend ~30% of their budget on military they'd probably be doing almost as good as S. Korea) and garnering attention so that they can get some free food.

probably because his overseas family is in china, which im pretty sure would never be in any immediate danger

Technically, it would be a continuation of the Korean War.
|
If they declare war, S Korea should come to Canada, and North should get nuked.

I mean they still have a deadly arsenal of chemical weapons and ballistic weapons (ballistics != nuclear), best example would be the Scud missiles of the Persian Gulf War. These weapons aren't exactly easy to defend against and there isn't a good deterrent against them, don't bring up AEGIS and those systems, that is not their primary intended role.
You can guess where they'll lob these things, S. Korea and Japan as well as other US interests in their reach in Asia. Then to disrupt the Asian economy and trade isn't exactly making the other Asian nations with no direct political interest feel safe or happy about it.
Like honestly, if all of the ASEAN + others decided tomorrow they jump the gun and gang N. Korea for all of its utter bullshit for the last few decades by invading or bombing their military institutions, it wouldn't surprise me one bit, cause to be honest, the N. Korean current regime isn't going to change its agenda or course of action, unless the next generation is more progressive (think more along the lines of what Communist China did with Mao after his death), that situation is going to just remain the same at best and deteriorate at worst.

You're a fucking idiot omninmo. N Korean government is beyond retarded. The ability to launch kill people and feed citizens sadly aren't linked. It's just an extra pain in the ass waste of lives. Boo.

lol?
Think about it N. Korea is surrounded by some of the most powerful nations of the world. Japan, Australia, India, S. Korea, then there is the United States. If N. Korea attacks S. Korea the U.S. will react as will Japan and the rest will follow suit. And if you honestly think China will support an attack on S. Korea your only fooling yourself when N. Korea did their first nuclear test China was furious. I'd be surprised if they did anything to support N. Korea.
