Warning: Standard iCCup blog incoming.
Well I've been struggling to get to C- this season, and I have been feeling a little discouraged because of it. But after some random kid on iCCup told me my rank is apperently C+ or better, my confidence boosted alot. Pathetic, I know. T_T

seeing as you're from Norway turn that C+ into the rank you're struggling with so, C- ! Because you don't have to play the majority of your games vs Koreans your rank should be brought down by 2, and trust me a European C+ is a free-win compared to a Korean C+
+ Show Spoiler +that's what you get for making a blog to try and boast about someone saying you're C+ or better
|
It's funny because I generally play at AM hours (read: Korean time).
In the meantime I'm just staring at that liquibition timer.... Getting closer now.
|
Someone said my offraces are at least B-, so that must be true.
|
It's funny because out of 34 games you've only played THREE Koreans.
+ Show Spoiler +I'm just gonna keep bringing ya down buddy!
|
Your probably D+/C- max buddy. Don't listen to anything else but your own rank.
|
So let me get this straight. Out of all the countries in the world, one country has a much higher skill level, so you're supposed to ignore every other country than korea?
You cant say that someone who's ranked C+ is C- couse koreans at C- are as good as regular C+'s. Thats just silly.

Correction. Your own rank - 2. Because you don't play koreans. /sarcasm

Nah EFG it's pretty much true. Competition is alot harder during Korean hours. Also calm the fuck down people, jeez. (PS. it's only possible to have 1 account, ever). Also it's not about being Korean or not (thanks for pointing out how many I have played -.-), it's about facing people who play during Korean hours regularly. You're Australian yourself but you only play during Korean hours, so by your theory your rank should be 2 ranks lower. But in reality you might as well have been living in Korean and faced the same kind of competition. So if you hop on a plane you jump 2 ranks, good logic. (Not explaining myself very well here but w/e).

@ Epicfailguy
I've played about 500 games on iccup, reached B- quite a few times, my friend has played about 1000 games and has reached B-/B. Both him and i agree that a European C+ IS NOT THE SAME as a Korean C+
|
Yeah I know that, but thats one out of a ton of different countries, and you cant use that one contry as a standard or whatever. The rank is what it is, its controlled by all the players, so if you reach c+, you are c+.
|
if ur C+ i eat my fist...
|
Summary: Don't stare blindly on ranks cuz it's just ranks. Ranks can give u a small pice of a big picture.

Yeah I'm not even gonna bother reading this anymore. Everyone just assumes I wanted to brag or something. Fuck off. Good day.

Yea that happens on blogs unfortunately. But you did ask for people's opinions on your replay. Everyone on the internet has ego insecurities and if you start being pretentious they'll jump at you.
I think in theoretical terms, the rank you achieve is the rank at which you stabilize, randomly playing players across iCCup. In this ideal world, you'd be playing a fair number of Koreans, and losing / winning just enough to gain zero points in the long run.
Do you think you could achieve C+ level in this theoretical sense? The current state of iCCup is an approximation to this ideal state, so there's going to be discrepancies. Also, you might be C+ in one matchup but D+ in another. My ZvT far surpasses my ZvZ, for example.
Your current iCCup rank is a good indicator of your ideal rank, but it's subject to opinion because of flaws in iCCup.
