MBH = "big talker" guaranteed that his first two lynches would be on mafia. I would rather have a candidate with a plan than someone who makes promises that he can only reasonably perform on if he is in fact mafia. Pyrrhuloxia, candidacy based on clue analysis. While clue analysis is great, and I like what he did with Pika Chu, clue analysis is very easy to fake, especially considering the many different ways clues can point. SOG, came up with plans, was willing to argue with other people in the thread about their effectiveness, and also, importantly, says he is going to be very active because he just finished finals. That eradicates an excuse that has been used by many other players in the past, "Sorry, I've been so busy . . . that's why I'm not helping out." BC, I also liked BC's candidacy, he came up with some plans. I was suspicious though of the initial support for BC, and thought it was lame that he was getting votes for things he did outside of the game (getting a mod to play). So, that is why I voted for SOG. I think the most suspicious voters are the ones who voted for MBH. He said next to nothing, and gained support from his game history alone.

Mafia in general will do their best to always help the town. However, there is a line that can be drawn when mafia help way too much. Such an example is last mafia game, when LTT, etc brought forth a pretty awesome plan; there was no way that they could be mafia because they were helping the town way too much. So keep that in mind when dealing with people, too. I don't really have any thoughts on BC. He seems pretty chill. @Dreamflower. Nice catch at 3Lions. This may help clear some doubt off Pikachu, who's been accused heavily thus far. Keep posting. I remember my first game, I had severe doubts in (2/3 mafia because one promoted taking out someone and the other two followed his support heavily) but I only kept it between MikeyMoo and myself. Of course there may be some things you want to keep silent, but the more you post/talk, the more things everyone can bounce ideas off of. Speaking of that, I offered some initial things we could start looking for at the bottom of Page 28. And lastly, nice lynch regardless if it was random or not, the next mafia kill will drop their KP to 5.

It's the prototypical "FUCK YOU GUYS I DON'T GIVE A CRAP IT'S A GAME BUT YOU GUYS ARE WRONG ANYWAYS" response. Then again I'm sure an organized mafia would have told him to shut the hell up because he was basically off the hook by that point. There's always the possibility that mafia just sucks and aren't organized at all (no irc, no real leader, etc etc). Just some stuff to chew on. That's the problem with prototypes. You basically include me in that category because you want to, because it makes sense in your mind to include me, not because i actually belong there. To autopersuade you into doing it, you've only selected a few sentences from my posts, which is practically a common filter used by most people and that makes any sense given by the full post in the specific context irrelevant.

Everyone knows about the Pika Chu "clue" now so we don't need to continueously bring it up and as far as I'm concerned his behavior has been fine.

If anyone has a plan of any kind. Please keep it to yourself until after the night phase is over unless it involves special roles doing something tonight. Even if so, limit how much you reveal so that only those roles know that they need to act and why they need to act. Otherwise we only give the mafia advantage of knowing a potential plan while they have time to kill off members who are either proposing or organizing the plan or those integral to it. So, please, wait to post any plans until Day Two.

Also, whatever moderator changed the title of the thread it might be best to leave it at TL Mafia 5 if you can't change it every time we switch from morning and night. :o

Since this may have become an issue I'm removing all the current bodyguards and re-randomizing a new set of them. If you are a Bodyguard before I made this post then disregard that PM unless you receive another from me in a minute or two. Please send a PM to the three previous Bodyguards in case they don't see this post for whatever reason and go on playing thinking that they are a Bodyguard. Could prevent a potential misunderstanding/nightmare later.

I came up with this while making a sandwich last night, so I'm pretty sure this is going to work. The idea from this plan sprang from the mindset of the DTs not being able to be rallied. It also comes from the realization that medics can not protect enough vet players this game, so unfortunately some of us will die. We've got to use this little disadvantage and turn it into something positive, and I've come up with an idea. I'm going to put myself in the shoes of a Mafia player for a second. If I wanted to kill any vet players this game, this is a list of players I'd target for Night 1 death above all else. Camlito Qatol BloodyC0bbler Ver Caller Bockit iNfuNdiBuLuM Ace MrBabyHands Versatile Scaramanga JL13 That's a list of twelve potential targets, for fun let's call them the The Zodiac Brave. This list is important, because it gives us a place to start. I've got a feeling that somebody on this list is mafia, in fact 3 of them wouldn't be unreasonable. since these are the prime players in the game - if any of these players die during the Night it tightens the suspicion noose on the remaining ones. It also gives the medics a place to focus protections. Sure, the mafia could ignore this list and kill off other players but I'm sure they know letting any of these people live for too long is dangerous. Now for the hard part - Detectives. I'm going to ask you to ignore these players. Literally, just don't even investigate them unless something like a major clue points to them, it's obvious something fishy is wrong with them, or you need to confirm their ID to speak with them about something critical. Focus your investigations on people not on the list. Secondly, to the Town in general. Use this list as the start of your clue referencing. Clues are much easier to link when you already have a name in mind. Instead of looking through every profile and trying to match every little clue up - you've got this list of 12 names right here. After Night 1 goes away, the second set of clues + the first Day's clues should be enough to find something on someone listed. Also, we have to decide who the Sheriff should lock up for the night. It has to be one of these 12. No matter what we try to do, the medics can't protect everyone and the Mafia will stack kills even with RoL dead to take out some vets. Whoever we lock up out of the vets, has to be plain green Towny. Sure they might have to role claim but we can't afford to lock up any critical blue roles on Night 1. And last but not least - semioldguy. While lynching RoL was a good thing it says nothing about whether he is innocent or not. In fact, I think he's innocent but it doesn't matter. Do not send him any information. His innocence will be proven based on his actions during the game. Same goes for BC. Sorry i havent been active guys, i'll catchup tonight btw ace wtf im not a vet, im so bad at mafia rofl ask bc

Well, anyone can go look for other people's posts. It's just much more effecient and easy for me to do. I can see who is logged in at any given time (though I don't think that has a correlation with the roles they have since it's not something I check and I wouldn't know if it is normal or not for a person to be on since I'm not stalking anyone here yet), though I don't have access to login histories. I can read edited posts (which isn't allowed anyway), people edit for grammar/formatting etc and I verify that every time just in case. There are a lot of records that I imagine could be useful, though I don't have access to the ones I'd imagine as useful, and wouldn't even if I did as that would seem a little unbalanced. As is I can basically do most of what everyone else can, I'm just better or more effecient at it. (Don't have to be right then and there before a post edit; don't have to search threads for people's posts) I am able to tell who smurfs are though, but I haven't bothered to check anyone, and I don't know if anyone is actually doing this or if people just mention it. Seems useless to me.
