Telephone interview with ForGG:
“I have some regrets, but I’m very happy to join KTF.”
You changed teams to KTF. -When I first heard it, I was going to reject it. But then after hearing KTF talk about the specifics and learning that they’ve had their eye on me for a few months, I considered a bit and decided that changing teams is, for me, a very good choice, so…
Thoughts on joining KTF? -KTF is a very famous team, I’m very glad to be able to join, but I’m also kind of sad when thinking about the past 3 years that I’ve spent with Oz…
Did you talk to any of your former teammates about this after the news came out? -Right after Fomos posted the news, I got some phone calls from my former teammates. They were very surprised, guess they didn’t know…
Thoughts on playing for KTF very soon? -I’m in a new environment now, so I’ll make a new beginning. KTF chose me, and to me, KTF is a new team, so I need to get some results.
Thoughts on adjusting to a new team? -I will work hard to adjust fast. I’m very friendly with Flash, and I’ve known FireFist hyung for a long time now.
Anything to say to the fans? -I’m sure the fans will be very surprised for this. Overall, I don’t think there will be too many people who’ll be too unhappy about me switching teams. I’ll continue to work hard.
PS Assorted articles have mentioned how ForGG and Oz’s Coach Cho have a strained relationship. Once, Coach Cho said something along the lines of “ForGG needs to perform better…” in an interview, and gave ForGG a warning during practice. After that, ForGG didn’t play much. The last time he played was on February 11th against ACE. Regarding this, fans have asked Coach Cho whether or not there are any issues before, but the coach said that there aren’t any issues, and also said that ForGG will not be transferred to another team…

Thanks a lot mate ! Awesome translation as always
I really think forGG will have a hard time fitting into the new team, it will take some time to say at least. I wish him best of luck no matter where he goes cause he is one of the exciting terrans to watch

Thanks for the translation!
But the interview is weird. He shows signs neither of excitement nor regret because of the move. Also says nothing about consulting with anyone, including coaching staff and his team-mates, And the fact that none of his team-mates knew about it is also kind of weird for me.
It seems that there must have been an issue between him and coaches...

Coach Cho askljhtoqwht. Dammit he makes me angry sometimes. First Anytime now Forgg. Jaedong is probably next if he doesn't perform well -_-

huh, after he beat coach cho's poster boy Jaedong, I guess I can see how they might have a strained relationship...
well, now we know who pushed forGG down that flight of stairs

One reason less to like Oz, one reason more to like KTF.
I hope ForGG will perform well in his new team...

In any sport, player movement generally involve no player knowledge beforehand. It just makes the whole ordeal more smooth and hurts chemistry less. This more or less applies to just regular companies. If your boss wants you fired, he's not going to openly ask your co-workers what they think of the idea.
I'm glad ForGG moved. I like him, and it really sucked that he's stuck behind Lomo and Hiya. But his relationship with the coach made it more understandable. Well, I guess when you're a teenager, eve being a starleague champion doesn't mean squat in front of the coach.

Darn, now KTF has a player that I like. I may have to start rooting for them.

Thanks Sheep! You're doing a good job with translations...I wonder what happened to MrHoon? o_O
Interesting note about his troubles with Coach Cho! I guess that might explain why fOrGG hasn't made any WL appearances lately. I think going to KTF was a great move for him, but I don't know whether KTF will get their money's worth (considering they might have bought a Protoss instead).

Who could they have bought though?

It's starting to sound like ForGG was pretty unhappy at Oz, so maybe this will be best for everyone.

There aren't any good ones that aren't attached to rich teams.

haji brought up this point in the Shine -> KTF thread, and here is my response:

CJ - Much/Movie - not a chance eStro - Sangho/Tester - They wouldn't let go of Sangho, and Tester sucks more than Tempest Lecaf - none MBC - actually, come to think of it, they might be able to attract Pusan away considering his past salary troubles. But he's really the soul of the team, it'd be rough considering how attached players are to their teams in general. Samsung - no one they'd let go of T1 - like they'd give anyone to their rival. STX - prolly wont let go of YJ considering their own Toss line is weak. Wemade - who the hell woudl want rock. Pure is... I'd take Tempest atm Woongjin - no one they'd let go of
all teams, I can only think of Pusan as even a remote candidate... I think a young Protoss with some untapped talent could do well with KTF...it seems like Horang2, Tazza, and even guys like Bul_T have way more potential than any Protoss on the KTF roster. I mean, let's face it: Shine is a backup player. He'll compete with Hery and SaiR to be KTF's second-best Terran. When you consider that's the role Shine will be playing, you realize that KTF wouldn't have to deal for any top-tier Protoss players to get a more valuable player than Shine. I think the problem boils down to: if KTF was going to deal for an unproven, second-tier player, why didn't they at least try for one in the race that they're most lacking? Another angle to consider is that, while Shine probably won't mature very fast because he'll be competing with Flash for playtime, a young Protoss could really make a splash because he wouldn't have so much competition to get into the lineup.
Though fOrGG is certainly a more valuable acquisition than Shine because he will likely be a reliable player for KTF, many of the same arguments hold - KTF could easily have dealt for one or even two B-class Protosses with tons of potential.
Right now the map pool is pretty friendly for Terrans and Terrans have certainly been tearing up the WL, but that won't last forever. I just think that KTF is being pretty short-sighted and, if it's going to be spending money, should seriously consider improving what is obviously its weakest race. Just watch, when next PL features a bunch of Protoss-friendly maps KTF could be in huge trouble
